Dubai metro stations come alive with the sound of music
- In many countries it is a common sight, but when musicians began playing their instruments at a Dubai metro station, surprised commuters stopped to take photos of the rare performances. The emirate is known among its residents for its pristine streets and impeccably clean metro stations -- where commuters can be fined for chewing gum, or even drinking water, on a train. Didn't release any campaign song, says Supriyo in reply to EC notice
Union minister Babul Supriyo on Wednesday refuted allegations of putting out a campaign song without prior permission of the Election Commission, insisting that the video which went viral was actually a clip of him recording the number. The poll body had on Tuesday issued a show cause notice to Supriyo for the campaign song, composed and sung by him. "It is not that I have released any campaign song. The fact is when I was recording this song in a studio in Mumbai, media persons came and shot a video of it. It was a clip of that video that was shown on various news channels and went viral on social media. Man held for stalking TV & film producer Ekta Kapoor
A 32-year-old cab driver was arrested for allegedly stalking television and film producer Ekta Kapoor over the last one year, police said Wednesday. The accused, Sudhirsingh Rajendrasingh Sangwan, was held from his residence on Veera Desai Road at Amboli, a western suburb, on Tuesday, said Bharat Gaikwad, senior police inspector of Amboli Police Station. Sangwan, who hails from Haryana, had come to Mumbai to try his luck in the film industry, he said. "He wanted to be an actor and thought that Ekta Kapoor can give him an opportunity to work. He used to follow her in Juhu and Andheri areas and demand a role," the official said. Sangwan also became a member of a gym, where Kapoor went for workouts.
