College admission scandal is 'sad', says Julia Roberts

Julia Roberts has shared her thoughts on the high profile college scandal in the US, saying it is "sad" that parents do not trust their children. Over 50 people, including Hollywood actors Felicity Huffman and Lori Loughlin, have been charged in relation to the scam in which parents allegedly bribed their way to get their children into top American universities. Roberts, 51, was asked to comment on the scandal during an interview with Entertainment Tonight Canada. "That to me is so sad, because I feel, (as) an outsider, that it says a little bit, 'I don't have enough faith in you'," Roberts replied. The actor has twins Hazel and Phinnaeus (14) and Henry (11) with husband, cinematographer Danny Moder. Roberts said she and Moder tried to "live a very normal experience" with their children. Aaron Paul would 'love' to be part of 'Breaking Bad' film

Actor Aaron Paul says he would love to star in the rumoured "Breaking Bad" movie. The Emmy-winning series, which ran from 2008 to 2013, starred Bryan Cranston as chemistry-teacher-cum-meth-kingpin Walter White and Paul as his former student and current partner in crime, Jesse Pinkman. It was reported in February that the film, written and directed by creator Vince Gilligan and produced by Sony TV, will focus on Jesse, presumably after his escape from neo-Nazi captivity in the series finale in which Walt died. Paul refrained from confirming whether he was involved in the project, but said that he is open to reprise the character, reported Variety. "Rumours are funny. I once heard a rumour that I was being cast as Han Solo. I haven't heard anything about the 'Breaking Bad' movie but if there is one and it comes together I'd love to be a part of it. If it were to happen, yes, I would love to do it," he said. The actor, who won three supporting actor Emmys, added that if the movie goes ...

The actor was hospitalised the previous week after he suffered a massive stroke at his Sherman Oaks home. Green was missing from the list of Hollywood celebrities who paid tributes to Perry on social media but he made it up for it in a recent episode of his podcast. "Luke was a special guy. I'm still mourning over it, so there's a part of me that's kind of shocked that I'm speaking about Luke this way," he said. "We all knew that at some point we'd have to deal with losing cast members and friends, but not this soon. Not at 52. Not in such an abrupt way," he added. The actor also revealed that he sent Perry a text following his untimely demise. "I texted him after he passed, knowing obviously that he can't text me back but on some level, hoping that he would text me back, or that he was out there ...

Filmmaker Jordan Peele has explained the significance of showing a character donning a Michael Jackson T-shirt in his upcoming directorial "Us". There has been a renewed discussion around child sexual abuse allegations against Jackson post the January premiere of HBO documentary "Leaving Neverland". The four-hour-long documentary, directed by Dan Reed, chronicles allegations of sexual abuse made by Wade Robson and James Safechuck, when they were minors. Peele's "Us", a follow-up to his 2017 blockbuster "Get Out", features the child version of Lupita Nyong'o's character in 1986 wearing a "Thriller" T-shirt. "I didn't know that this documentary was coming out, but in many ways the duality of Michael Jackson has been well documented," the director told NME. He said the sequence in the film, which follows his 2017 blockbuster "Get Out", contributes to his vision of showing people's "darker side". "There's this murky area when it comes to the specifics of his story and all that. I think it
