You're going to need therapy: Gwendoline Christie on 'Game of Thrones' final season

Actor Gwendoline Christie believes people will need to go for "therapy" after watching the much-awaited final season of "Game of Thrones". The actor, who plays Brienne of Tarth, was asked by E! News to share something about the final season. "You're going to need therapy," Christie quipped. When asked if someone dies, she replied, "I think just the show ending is going to send all of the world into professional help. "I think it's going to make me incredibly emotional. We're all emotional about the fact that this is the end, and this is the end of something incredibly significant for all of us, and it's been a truly incredible thing to be a part of." The seventh season left Brienne representing the interest of Sansa Stark during the great Dragonpit armistice meeting and seems like to have a role defending the North at Wintefell when the Army of the Dead arrives in the final season. "Game of Thrones" returns to HBO in April 2019.

Steven Yeun joins in new 'The Twilight Zone' series

"The Walking Dead" actor Steven Yeun has joined the cast of "The Twilight Zone" series. Yeun has been cast to star in an episode, titled "The Traveler", of the rebooted sci-fi anthology series. According to Entertainment Weekly, the actor joins a cast that includes John Cho , Allison Tolman, Jacob Tremblay, Kumail Nanjiani, Adam Scott and Sanaa Lathan. "Get Out" director Jordan Peele is executive producing the series and serving as the narrator/host. "The Twilight Zone" is coming to CBS All Access in 2019.

Jeffrey Dean Morgan returning to 'Supernatural' for 300th episode

Hollywood star Jeffrey Dean Morgan is returning to 'Supernatural' as John Winchester for 300th episode. Morgan appeared as the character in a total of 12 episodes beginning with the first season in 2005 through 2008. The series, starring Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles, follows the two brothers as they hunt demons, ghosts, monsters, and other supernatural beings. Winchester last appeared in the season two finale "All Hell Breaks Loose: Part 2" when he escaped through the open gate to Hell and helped his boys kill Yellow Eyes. "We're incredibly excited to have Jeffrey back for this milestone episode, and think fans will love what we have planned for his character And a few other surprise guest stars," co-showrunner Andrew Dabb said in a statement to Entertainment Weekly. Supernatural's 300th episode, titled "Lebanon", will premiere on February 7.

Joel McHale to play Starman in DC Universe's 'Stargirl'

Actor Joel McHale has been roped in to play Starman in DC Universe's "Stargirl" series. The role is being described as "Golden Age Starman" and will be a recurring one for McHale, reported Variety. "Stargirl" centres on Courteney Whitmore (Brec Bassinger), a high school sophomore who inspires an unlikely group of young heroes to stop the villains of the past. The series is from executive producers Greg Berlanti, Geoff Johns and Sarah Schechter, based on DC comic book characters created by Geoff Johns. Johns, who created the character of Stargirl in 1999 inspired by his late sister, is also set to write the premiere episode. He will also serve as showrunner. Starman is a member of the Justice Society of America. He has a mysterious anti-gravity weapon called the cosmic staff and has a longtime sidekick named Stripesy, popular as Courtney Whitmore's stepfather, Pat Dugan.

Sterling K Brown to lead Fox Searchlight's 'The Fence'

Actor Sterling K Brown is in talks to star in Fox Searchlights's biopic "The Fence". Peter Nicks is on board to direct, reported Variety. Based on the book by award-winning Boston Globe journalist Dick Lehrm, "The Fence" follows the true story of Michael Cox, an African-American undercover cop who is mistaken for a suspect and brutally beaten by his own force following one of the largest police chases in Boston history. As Cox seeks justice for what happened, he finds himself on the other side of the "blue wall of silence" as the Boston Police Department aggressively covers it up. George Pelecanos and Dennis Lehane, who originally brought the book to HBO before it landed at Searchlight, teamed up to adapt the script. While a production start date has not yet been officially finalised, it would likely happen when Brown is on a break from his hit NBC show "This Is Us" early next year.

Chris Pratt, Tom Holland, Octavia Spencer to voice Pixar's 'Onward'

Hollywood stars Chris Pratt, Tom Holland, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, and Octavia Spencer have been tapped to voice for "Onward", Pixar's next original film. "Monster University" helmer Dan Scanlon is directing "Onward". According to Variety, he has re-teamed with producer Kori Rae, who also produced "Monsters University". Pixar had previously referred to the film as an untitled suburban fantasy. The story follows two teenage elf brothers who embark on an extraordinary quest to discover if there is still magic left in the world. It is scheduled to be released on March 6, 2020. "At Pixar we try to create stories that come from some kind of personal truth. This film was inspired by my own relationship with my brother," Scanlon said. Pixar's next movie to hit the theatres is "Toy Story 4", on June 21, 2019.

Aaron Sorkin's 'Trial of the Chicago 7' put on hold

Actor Aaron Sorkin's "The Trial of the Chicago 7" has been put on hold by Amblin Entertainment. Sorkin is currently busy with his play "To Kill a Mockingbird". In a statement Amblin said they are still involved and are giving Sorkin time to finish the work on his play. "Aaron just adapted 'To Kill a Mockingbird', which is premiering on Broadway this Thursday. He is currently evaluating his schedule and commitments to determine the best time and way to make 'The Trial of the Chicago 7'. Amblin remains involved as a producer," the studio said in a statement. The film is based on the infamous 1969 trial of seven men charged by the federal government with conspiracy, arising from the counterculture protests in Chicago at the 1968 Democratic National Convention. The trial transfixed the nation and sparked a conversation intended to undermine the US government. The studio had been trying to get the film into production for more than a decade, with Paul Greengrass and even Amblin CEO Steven .

"Will & Grace" star Megan Mullally has been roped in to host the 25th edition of the SAG Awards. According to Variety, the awards night will be held on January 27 at the Shrine Auditorium in here. Tawde hands over Vajpayee condolence motions to kin

Maharashtra minister Vinod Tawde Wednesday handed over the condolence motions adopted by the state cabinet and the legislature, mourning the demise of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, to the adopted daughter of the late leader in New Delhi. Vijayan announces new Design Biennale in 2021

Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Wednesday announced a new Design Biennale slated to be held in Kochi in 2021. He was speaking at the opening of the fourth edition of the Kochi-Muziris Biennale (KMB), touted to be the subcontinent's biggest art event featuring works by 94 Indian and international artists. "After the next edition of the Biennale (KMB in 2020), there will be a Design Biennale in Kochi," Vijayan said.
