Faye Dunaway to play Katharine Hepburn in Broadway play 'Tea at Five'

Veteran actor Faye Dunaway is all set to portray screen legend Katharine Hepburn in Broadway play "Tea at Five". The 77-year-old actor returns to Broadway after over 35 years. She last performed in play "The Curse of the Aching Heart" in 1982, reported Variety. "Tea at Five" hails from playwright Matthew Lombardo, who has crafted a new version of the 2002 original. It will be directed by Tony-nominated John Tillinger. No theatre or opening date has been announced as of now. Dunaway is best known for her work in the features like "Bonnie & Clyde" and "Chinatown". She won an Oscar for best actress in 1977 for her performance in satirical drama Network". The film has been adapted into a Broadway play, starring Tatiana Maslany in the lead.

'Between Two Ferns' movie in works at Netflix

Zach Galifianakis' hit show "Between Two Ferns" is getting a film treatment at Netflix. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the streaming giant has started working on a feature-length version of the talk show, which hailed from comedy video website and production house, Funny or Die. It is being directed by show's co-creator Scott Aukerman. The outlet reports that an impressive line-up of guests has already been assembled, which includes the likes of Bradley Cooper, Keanu Reeves, Peter Dinklage, Ed Helms and David Letterman. Across the 21 episodes of "Between Two Ferns", some of the biggest names in Hollywood had volunteered to be mocked by Galifianakis. It included former US president Barack Obama, Natalie Portman, Jon Hamm, Steve Carell, Justin Bieber, Brad Pitt and Charlize Theron. The show most recently returned for a special episode, featuring Jerry Seinfeld and Cardi B.

Actor Kevin Hart on Thursday said he is stepping down as the host of 91st Academy Awards following a controversy over his old homophobic tweets that have resurfaced now. Film personalities add glitz to Telangana polls

Adding a dash of glamour to the poll process in Telangana, Telugu film bigwigs turned up in good numbers to cast their ballot Friday. Actor-turned-politician Chiranjeevi, popular Telugu hero Nagarjuna and director of 'Baahubali' S S Rajamouli were among the early voters in the election to the 119-member Telangana Assembly. Another leading Telugu film star "Junior" NTR, grandson of TDP founder N T Rama Rao, also queued up to vote. Film personalities cast their votes in polling stations mainly in the posh Jubilee Hills locality of Hyderabad. Mika Singh to be produced in Dubai court today

Bollywood singer Mika Singh will be produced before a Dubai court later today, Indian Ambassador to United Arab Emirates (UAE) Navdeep Singh Suri told ANI.Singh was released from detention of Dubai Police last night after efforts by the Indian Embassy."Following efforts by the embassy, singer Mika was released at 11.30 pm last night. MIB reboot titled 'Men in Black International'

The reboot of "Men in Black" series has been titled "Men in Black International". The film, directed by F Gary Gray, will feature Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson in the lead. According to Collider, a logo has also been designed of the reboot, which is set to hit the theatres on June 14 next year. Richard Gere to star in Apple remake of Israeli series 'Nevelot'

Veteran actor Richard Gere is in negotiations to star in an untitled Apple drama series. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the series is based on Israeli show "Nevelot", and expected to be green lit soon by the tech giant. If finalised, Gere, 69, will the play the lead in the series. The story follows two elderly Vietnam veterans and best friends who find their monotonous lives upended when a woman they both loved fifty years ago is killed by a car.
