Jonathan Majors in talks for Aaron Sorkin's 'The Trial of the Chicago 7'

Actor Jonathan Majors is in negotiations to star in director Aaron Sorkin's political drama "The Trial of the Chicago 7". The film will narrate the story of the 1969 trial in which anti-war activists such as Abbie Hoffman, Jerry Rubin and Tom Hayden were accused of conspiracy, inciting to riots and other charges related to anti-Vietnam War protests in Chicago, Illinois, on the occasion of the 1968 Democratic National Convention. If the deal is finalised, the 29-year-old actor will take on the role of Bobby Seale, co-founder of the Black Panther Party, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Earlier, Oscar winner Eddie Redmayne and actor Sacha Baron Cohen were in talks to star in the film. Their casting has not yet been confirmed. Redmayne, 36, is being eyed to play play Tom Hayden, the co-founder of the Students for a Democratic Society. Hayden was best known for his role as an anti-war, civil rights, and radical intellectual activist in the 1960s. Cohen, 47, is in talks for the role of .

In an Instagram post, the 44-year-old former Spice Girl member said she would be providing beauty tutorials and styling tips to her viewers through her videos. Amy Sedaris joins the cast of 'Lion King'

American actor-comedian Amy Sedaris has joined the cast of Disney's live-action remake of 'The Lion King'.She will be lending her voice for a brand new animal in the kingdom that was established in the 1994 animated classic, reported Variety.The 57-year-old star will be voicing the character of an elephant shrew, the tiny mammal is a native to Africa and known for its top speed.The film's teaser trailer dropped on the occasion on Thanksgiving, giving its fans the perfect gift. It became the second most-viewed trailer in history in just 24 hours of its release. Moving far away from the love and laughter of Disney's "Jungle Book", actor-director Andy Serkis says he has tried to assimilate the complexities of Rudyard Kipling's classic, including his complicated relationship with India as an imperialist, in his new film "Mowgli: Legend of the Jungle". Serkis said his take on Kipling's 1894 classic "The Jungle Book", about man cub Mowgli who is brought up by wolves in the jungles of India, is dark and closer to the original story. Kipling was born in Mumbai in 1865. Though his first language was Hindi and India inspired most of his work, he is often called an "empire loyalist" dividing modern critics on his literary legacy. It is this "split personality" in Kipling and his writings that Serkis has attempted to reflect in his film.
