Shahid Kapoor's Twitter handle appears to be hacked after a series of absurd tweets were posted on the actor's timeline, including messages praising Alauddin Khalji.The actor's account has allegedly been hacked by 'Pro-Pakistan' Turkish cyber army Ayyildiz Tim.The unusual tweets included links to Facebook page and YouTube channel of the outfit, while one read 'I love Katrina Kaif', another carried gif from a Raj Kapoor movie.The tweet praising Alauddin Khalji was later, also pinned on the actor's timeline.Earlier this year, Anupam Kher and Abhishek Bachchan's Twitter accounts were also hacked by the same outfit.

Indian delegation at TIFF 2018 to push Indian cinema's overseas scope

The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting in collaboration with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) will send a 15-member delegation comprising directors, producers, distributors and studio officials to the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) to promote Indian cinema in the overseas market and encourage foreign collaborations.

Court cancels NBW against Varma in copyright violation case

A Maharashtra court cancelled the non-bailable warrant issued against filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma in a case of copyright violation after he appeared before it Thursday. The court of Judicial Magistrate First Class Kailash Kurandre in Aurangabad adjourned the hearing in the case until September 20. Varma sought exemption from appearance on the next hearing due to prior commitments. The court is yet to pass an order on his plea. Siddiqui Mushtaq Muhsin had filed the case against Varma in 2011, claiming that the film "Agyaat", directed by Varma, produced by Ronnie Screwvala and released in August 2009, was based on a story written by him. The court last year issued a non-bailable warrant against Varma and Screwvala in connection with the copyright violation case. Varma appeared Thursday before the court seeking the cancellation of the NBW. Screwvala has last year approached the district court in Aurangabad and got the NBW issued against him cancelled. Veteran Tamil comedian dies

Veteran Tamil film comedian, Vellai Subbaiah died after a brief illness at Mettupalayam near here, family sources said Thursday. He was 78. He is survived by wife and daughter. The actor died Wednesday night and the last rites were performed this afternoon. Subbaiah had acted in more than 250 films and featured with almost all top Tamil actors including M G Ramachandran, Sivaji Ganesan, Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan and new generation actors like Vijay and Ajith. He was a native of Punjai Puliyampatti in Erode district and was living with his daughter in Mettupalayam for the last four years following age-related illness, the sources said. Among the notable movies Subbaiah had worked include Bharathiraaja's 'Alaigal Oivathillai', 'Gopurangal Saivathillai', 'Kaadhal Oviyam' and 'Karakattakaran.' Subbiah is a recipient of the state government's prestigious 'Kalai Mudumani' recently.

Complaint filed against Salman Khan in Bihar court over 'Loveratri'

An advocate Thursday filed a complaint in a Bihar court against Salman Khan and others associated with his next home production 'Loveratri', alleging that the title of the film hurts Hindu sentiments by deriding the festival of Navaratri. The complaint filed by Sudhir Kumar Ojha will be heard by sub divisional judicial magistrate Shailendra Kumar on September 12. Ojha has alleged that the film, produced by Khan, promotes vulgarity and denigrates Goddess Durga. He said the film's scheduled date of release - October 5 - is close to Navaratri festival this year and it would hurt Hindu sentiments. He said his impression about the yet-to-be released movie is based on the promos and teasers being broadcast on YouTube and other such channels. Skydance to develop 'Miraculous:Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir' film, TV projects

Skydance media and animation studio ZAG are collaborating to develop a live-action film and television content based on the animated series 'MiraculousThe project that is being produced by Skydance is expected to release in 2020. WarnerMedia has announced a new company-wide policy to promote diversity and inclusivity in all of its productions that hail from Warner Bros, HBO, and Turner.
