'Supergirl' film in the works at Warner Bros

Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment are developing a "Supergirl" movie. "22 Jump Street" scribe Oren Uziel will pen the script, reported Deadline. In the CW's TV series, the character has been played by Melissa Benoist. The show is currently heading into its fourth season, and is executive produced by Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, Robert Rovner and Jessica Queller. According to the website, the idea here could be reflective of the rumours that Warner Bros. and DC are looking "to create a new template for future Superman movies." This new line-up of DC superhero projects is being spearheaded by executive Walter Hamada and includes movies like "Shazam!" and the female-fronted "Birds of Prey" starring Margot Robbie, as well as the standalone "The Joker" with Joaquin Phoenix. Yet to make a film I'm entirely in love with: Karan

Filmmaker Karan Johar has helmed some of the biggest romantic films of this generation but the director says he is yet to make a movie he entirely loves. Karan, who debuted with "Kuch Kuch Hota Hai", and went on to direct films like "Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham", "My Name is Khan", "Ae Dil Hai Mushkil", says he often cringes when he sees some portions of his work. "In retrospect when I look back and see some parts of my movies I cringe and feel terrible that I actually subjected an audience to those portions. Some of them got fortunate, other parts in those films made them reach a certain success mark," Karan said. "I'm not proud and happy with each and everyone of them. 'Superman's biological cousin, 'Supergirl' (Kara Danvers) is flying back to the big screens with DC Entertainment and Warner Bros.'22 Jump Street' writer Oren Uziel has been roped in to pen the script on the Krypton-born superhero, confirmed The Hollywood Reporter.In the 1984 sci-fi film, Danvers is forced to unveil her hidden powers when an unexpected disaster strikes National City. Filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali's spokesperson today said the director was not in talks with Priyanka Chopra for any project. Days after Priyanka walked out of Salman Khan's "Bharat", reports emerged that she has also quit Bhansali's gangster drama movie, based on the life of female gangster Gangubai Kothewali. "Sanjay Bhansali has a lot of love and regard for Priyanka Chopra, however, no such film has been discussed," the director's spokesperson said in a statement.
