MI 6 looses to 'Along with Gods' at Korean box office

Tom Cruise starrer 'MissionVariety reported that 'Along with the Gods' sequel earned $46.2 million in the previous week, whereas MI 6 at the second spot earned $41.4 million.The first part of the Korean film earned a praiseworthy 103 million USD.Talking in statistical terms, the Korean film's earnings represented 71% of the total South Korean box office earnings.On a related note, earlier in July a Chinese film 'Hello Mr. Billionaire' raked in a whopping 131 million USD in its home territory.It defeated the Tom Cruise film, which only earned 92 million USD in international markets, including the Asian country.

'Comicstaan' renewed for season two by Amazon Prime Video

Amazon Prime Video has ordered a second season of its comic talent hunt show "Comicstaan". The series, which featured some of the country's topmost stand-up comedians, had its worldwide premiere on July 13. The season two will also feature top comic Zakir Khan, in addition to Biswa Kalyan Rath, Kanan Gill, Kenny Sebastian, Kaneez Surka, Sumukhi Suresh and Abish Mathew who are all set to return. The season one of the nine-episode series saw ten contestants from across the country battling out for the coveted title. In the process, they were mentored by the best comedians in India.
