'That's enough,' Robert Redford announces retirement from acting
Veteran Hollywood star Robert Redford has announced his retirement from acting, saying "The Old Man & The Gun" would be his last film. The 81-year-old star said he is making good on his 2016 promise about hanging his boots as an actor. "Never say never, but I pretty well concluded that this would be it for me in terms of acting, and (I'll) move towards retirement after this 'cause I've been doing it since I was 21. I thought, Well, that's enough. And why not go out with something that's very upbeat and positive? Redford said in an interview with Entertainment Weekly. Industry min to seek legal view on karaoke singing
The government today said it will seek a legal opinion if a person can sing a song of any singer in karaoke and upload it on social media. Minister of State for Commerce and Industry C R Chaudhary informed the Lok Sabha that a complaint has been received regarding blocking a Facebook account holder for singing and recording songs in karaoke and uploading it on the social network. He was replying to a question whether a person can sing a song of any singer in karaoke, record it as hobby in friends, social function and upload it on social media. "The issue is under examination, for which legal opinion will be sought," he said. Salman Khan's 'Sultan' to release in China on August 31
Salman Khan-Anushka Sharma-starrer "Sultan" is all set to release in China on August 31, two years after its release in India. Yash Raj Films has collaborated with distribution company E Stars China for a release in the country, which has emerged as a new market for Hindi films thanks to the success of Aamir Khan's "Dangal" and "Secret Superstar" and Irrfan-starrer "Hindi Medium. The movie will be screened in over 11,000 screens, targeting around 40,000 shows a day, said a release.
