Sherilyn Fenn joins Rudolph Valentino biopic
"Twin Peaks" star Sherilyn Fenn has been roped in to play silent film star Alla Nazimova in "Silent Life," an indie biopic about Rudolph Valentino. Valentino was a Hollywood superstar in the silent movie era and died unexpectedly in 1926. Vladislav Kozlov is directing the film and will play Valentino, reported Variety. Kozlov is producing the project with Natalia Dar under their Dreamer Pictures banner, along with Yuri Ponomarev. The script was written by Kozlov, Dar, and Ksenia Jarova. The film also features Isabella Rossellini as Valentino's mother, Franco Nero as Valentino's spirit, and Terry Moore as the mourning "Lady in Black". Paul Rodriguez and Dalton Cyr have joined the cast as an older gigolo and young Italian immigrant, respectively. Paul Louis Harrell will play Norman Kerry, Valentino's real-life friend, and Ksenia Jarova will portray Natacha Rambova, a true love of Valentino. Morgan Fairchild to star in LGBTQ TV drama 'Melange'
Actor Morgan Fairchild has been roped in to lead the LGBTQ TV drama "Melange". According to Variety, the half-hour series will revolve around a fight over the ownership of a historic New York City gay bar, Melange, after its proprietor has suddenly and mysteriously died. The series will explore themes of sexuality, immigration, addiction, power, and inclusion. It will also mark the American TV debut of Omar Sharif Jr, grandson of the legendary actor Omar Sharif. Robert Newman plays Syd Winchester, the deceased owner of Melange. Scott Evans stars as Ryann Parker, the young man who fights to keep Melange out of the claws of Syd's wife, Vivian (Fairchild). The series will be directed by Emmy Award winner Gary Donatelli and Tony Award winning producer Tim Kashani. The filming will take place from August 4 to 7 in Manhattan.
'American Horror Story' renewed for season 10
FX has renewed "American Horror Story" for season 10 ahead of the show's eighth season premiere. The network had previously renewed the show for both seasons eight and nine, reported Deadline. "Ryan asked for a 10th season of American Horror Story which we were happy to give to him," FX Networks CEO John Landgraf said. Asked if the tenth season will be the last for the series, Landgraf said the network has left that decision on Murphy. "I don''t know. A lot of that comes down to Ryan and whether he still feels inspired about it. I think the eighth cycle, which is currently in production, is awesome and crazy, and I think the fans will really like it. Part of what's cool about American Horror Story is its anthology nature. Russo Brothers producing prehistoric drama 'The Last Neanderthal'
"Avengers: Infinity War" directors Joe and Anthony Russo are producing the prehistoric drama "The Last Neanderthal". The director-duo will produce the project through their Agbo production company, reported Variety. Stunt coordinator Terry Notary is set to direct the film, which will be shot primarily with motion capture technology. Notary played Cull Obsidian in Marvel's "Infinity War". The film is described as an epic adventure and a tale of survival, revenge, and redemption. John Brancato and Notary have penned the story.

Man accused of harassing Bhojpuri actress arrested
Malad Police on Saturday arrested the man accused of allegedly posting objectionable comments on social media and giving rape threats to a famous Bhojpuri actress.For many days, the man continued to post obscene remarks on the actress' Facebook account, which she didn't pay much heed to. However, when the man threatened her of rape, the actress registered a First Information Report (FIR) at Malad Police Station.She further revealed that the man threatened her husband as well, saying he will not be satisfied until she gets intimate with him.ACP Rajaram Mandge informed that the man was arrested soon after a complaint was registered.The accused has been arrested under section 354 (Assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty) under the Indian Penal Code.Further investigation is on.

Director Nicole Vogele is all set for the world premiere of her documentary feature 'Closing Time' in the Filmmakers of the Present section at the 2018 Locarno Festival.Nicole came up with the idea for 'Closing Time' while working on her first feature 'Nebel,'. Premiered in 2014 at Berlin, 'Nebel,' won a special mention in the Dialogue in Perspective section, confirmed Variety.In a conversation with Variety, she said, "This one is for anybody that is open and willing to sit down and switch off the things running through their brain and go into the space of experience rather than expecting a narrative.
