China Tuesday announced a flurry of retaliatory measures against the US, including tariffs on imports of products such as coal, liquefied natural gas products and crude oil, as well as an antitrust probe into Google. Delhi HC issues notice to Google, seeks reply to Aaradhya Bachchan's plea

The Delhi High Court on Monday sought Google's response after Aaradhya Bachchan said her petition to restrain and take down misleading content on her health should be decided without hearing the YouTube channels that were not responding to her plea. Justice Mini Pushkarna issued notice on an application by Aaradhya, daughter of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan, seeking to proceed ex-parte since the defendants were not appearing in the matter and to pass a decree in her favour. The high court posted the matter on March 17. The application for a "summary judgment" was passed in a pending lawsuit by the minor child and her father. Google pledged to crack down on fake online reviews with tougher punishments for rogue reviewers and businesses that try to profit from them, British regulators said Friday following an investigation. The Competition and Markets Authority said that Google has committed to rigorous steps to detect and remove sham reviews, so it can quickly identify and investigate businesses and reviewers trying to benefit from the phony posts. Google will delete all reviews written by people who repeatedly write fake or misleading reviews either positive or negative for UK businesses, the watchdog said. These reviewers will also be banned from posting new reviews, whether or not they're in the UK. Businesses that try to artificially boost their star ratings will also face consequences. Warning alerts will be slapped on their Google profiles, and new reviews will not be allowed.
