Elan Group gives Rs 500 cr contract to Leighton Asia for mall in Gurugram

Realty firm Elan Group has given a Rs 500 crore contract to Leighton Asia for the development of its shopping mall in Gurugram. In a statement, the company said it has "awarded the construction contract worth over Rs 500 crore to the Australian CIMIC Group's construction company, Leighton Asia, for its newly launched commercial mall, Elan Imperial." Located in Sector 82 in Gurugram, this mixed-use project includes a luxury retail mall, a five-star hotel and branded residences. Leighton is set to begin construction in November 2024. In August last year, Leighton was awarded with Rs 1,000 crore contract to construct Elan Group's flagship residential development, Elan The Presidential' in Sector 106, Gurugram. At 7.2 million, Delhi Metro records highest-ever daily ridership on Aug 13

The Delhi Metro on August 13 registered the highest-ever count of daily passenger journeys at 72.38 lakh, officials said. The urban transporter shared the data in a post on X on Wednesday, saying it has surpassed its previous milestone accomplished in February this year. A total of 72,38,271 passengers travelled on August 13. The count of daily passenger journeys in the Delhi Metro had stood at 71.09 lakh on February 13, 71.07 lakh on August 12, 71.04 lakh on September 4, 2023, and 70.88 lakh on February 12, the data showed. Journey or line utilisation is calculated by the number of corridors passengers use to reach their destinations. The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation's current network span is nearly 393 km with 2888 stations (including the Noida-Greater Noida Metro Corridor and Rapid Metro, Gurugram). Alphacorp to invest Rs 350 crore in luxury housing project in Gurugram

Realty firm Alphacorp will invest Rs 350 crore to develop a luxury housing project in Gurugram as part of its expansion plan amid strong consumer demand. Without divulging the name of the partner, Alphacorp said it has tied up with an entity that owns two land parcels of nearly 2.4 acre each, located in Sector 15, Part 2, Gurugram. "We will develop a total of 200 apartments on these two land parcels," said Santosh Agarwal, Executive Director and CFO of Alphacorp. On one parcel of 2.38 acre, the company has launched luxury high-rise project 'Alphacorp SKY1' comprising 100 units. The price is Rs 5 crore per unit. The project on the second plot will also be launched in the next 2-3 months. When asked about the project cost, Agarwal said the total investment is estimated at Rs 350 crore excluding land cost. Birla Estates acquires 5-acre land in Gurugran to build housing project

Realty firm Birla Estates has acquired a 5-acre land in Gurugram to develop a housing project with an estimated revenue potential of more than Rs 1,400 crore. Birls Estates is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Century Textiles and Industries Limited and the real estate venture of the Aditya Birla Group. In a regulatory filing on Monday, Centure Textiles informed that Birla Estates will expand its footprint in the national capital region (NCR) with a strategic land acquisition in Sector 71, Gurugram. "This 5-acre parcel offers a development potential of around 10 lakh square feet and is expected to generate revenue of over INR 1400+ crore with aesthetically designed residences," it said. Former Haryana chief minister and Congress leader Bhupinder Singh Hooda on Sunday said if his party wins the upcoming state assembly polls, it will extend the metro line from here to Manesar. Signature Global Q1 sales bookings jump 3.5X to Rs 3.1K cr on strong demand

Realty firm Signature Global on Sunday reported a 3.5 times jump in sales bookings to Rs 3,120 crore for the April-June quarter on high demand for its housing projects. The company's sales bookings stood at Rs 820 crore in the year-ago period. According to a regulatory filing, Signature Global sold 968 units in the first quarter of this fiscal against 894 units in the corresponding period of the previous year. In terms of volume, its sales bookings more than doubled to 2.03 million square feet from 0.91 million square feet a year earlier. Realty firm Experion Developers buys 8-acre land in Gurugram for Rs 400 cr

Realty firm Experion Developers has acquired a 7.81-acre land in Gurugram for Rs 400 crore to develop a real estate project. The company, a fully FDI-funded real estate developer and a wholly-owned subsidiary of Experion Holdings Pte Ltd, Singapore, has acquired the land parcel in Sector 88A, Gurugram. "The 7.81-acre plot was acquired through an outright purchase for approximately Rs 400 crore," Experion Developers said in a statement. The project will have a built-up area of about 3 million square feet. In April, the company had said it would invest about Rs 1,500 crore to develop a luxury housing project 'Experion Elements' in Noida as part of its expansion plans amid a sharp rise in demand for residential properties. Gurugram waterlogged after heavy rains; residents face traffic woes

Heavy rains in Gurugram early Friday morning led to severe inundation, particularly in residential areas, and traffic jams across the city. Significant waterlogging was reported in Dwarka Expressway, Sector 9, Sector 21, Sector 23, Greenwood City, Ardee City, Palam Vihar, Bhim Nagar, and MG Road, making it difficult for residents to step out of their homes. The Delhi-Gurugram Expressway was also affected after rains lashed the city on Thursday night and Friday morning. Public washroom automation firm Euronics is looking to double its turnover to Rs 400 crore by 2025-26 with its new manufacturing plant at Gurugram set to become operational to fulfil 50 per cent of its orders. The company has invested Rs 100 crore to set up the washroom automation accessories production unit at Gurugram with an annual production capacity of 2 lakh units and it will become operational this month. "In the last financial year we were around Rs 200 crore...
