Hindustan Power wins SECI bids for solar and battery storage projects

Hindustan Power on Tuesday said it has won a bid from SECI to develop a solar project with an energy storage system. The project will require the installation of around 300 MWp of solar capacity and 300 MWh of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), the company said in a statement. It has also secured a project from SECI to develop a solar and battery energy storage facility with a contracted capacity of 150 MW of solar power. Hindustan Power is a leading integrated power-generation company in India, focused on renewable and transitional energy solutions.

Hindustan Power signs pact with UPPCL to set up 435MW DC solar project

Hindustan Power has signed a power purchase agreement with Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Ltd (UPPCL) to set up a 435 MW direct current solar project. The agreement includes supplying clean power for 25 years from the project to be set up in Uttar Pradesh, the company said in a statement. This 435-megawatt direct current (MW DC) solar power project is in line with the Uttar Pradesh government's ambitious target of 22,000 MW clean capacity by FY27. The project will not only supply clean electricity to the state but also create new jobs and drive sustainable growth in the local community. The company had won the project from UPPCL through a competitive bidding process in April 2025. Hindustan Power commences work on 435 MWp solar project in UP

Hindustan Power has commenced work on a 435 megawatt peak (MWp) solar power project at Lalitpur in Uttar Pradesh. Awarded by the Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Ltd (UPPCL) through a competitive process in April 2025, the project will supply clean electricity to the state for the next 25 years, the company said in a statement. The initiative will also create new jobs and help drive sustainable growth in the local community. The company did not provide any further details related to the project cost and tariff at which the clean power will be supplied to the state. Hindustan Power secures 425 MW solar project contract from UP Power Corp

Hindustan Power on Thursday said it has secured a 425 MW solar project from Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (UPPCL). The Letter of Award (LoA) was issued by UPPCL following a competitive e-reverse auction, Hindustan Power said in a statement. As per the power purchase agreement (PPA), UPPCL will procure power from this solar project for a fixed tariff over a 25-year period. The project is expected to achieve commissioning within 24 months from the date of signing the PPA. The company did not provide any further details related to the order. "With this win, the company will contribute to Uttar Pradesh's growing demand for sustainable energy solutions," Ratul Puri, Chairman of Hindustan Power, said. Hindustan Power aims to build a renewable energy portfolio of 5 GW by 2028.
