Kumaraswamy condoles Ananth Kumar's death
Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy Monday expressed grief over the death of Union Minister Ananth Kumar, describing him as a "value based" politician who made significant contribution to the country as a parliamentarian and an union minister. "Kumar's pro-people attitude and activities made him apple of the eye of Bengalurians," Kumaraswamy said in a condolence message. "Our families had a friendship beyond politics. He always valued and had given priority to friendship. I have lost a great friend in his death," he said.

5 daily wagers assaulted by police, SHO suspended
Five daily wage employees of a forest department guest house in Nalanda district were allegedly assaulted by the police inside a police station, following which its station house officer (SHO) was suspended on Sunday, officials said. In a video, an angry Nalanda Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) was purportedly seen to be threatening to take the police to the court in connection of the assault. The five were picked them up on Saturday on the charge of stealing a television from the guest house at Rajgir. They were taken to a jungle and beaten up by police. They were again thrashed inside Rajgir police station, officials said. Rajgir police station SHO Vijendra Kumar was suspended on Sunday by Nalanda Superintendent of Police Sudhir Kumar Porika, officials said adding that the five were also released during the day. The president of Comic-Con International, John Rogers, has passed away on Saturday after battling brain cancer.The news of his demise was announced by the event's organisers on their Facebook page. "It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of John Rogers, President of Comic-Con. John died on Saturday, November 10, 2018, as a result of complications from glioblastoma, an aggressive form of brain cancer," the convention authorities wrote.Rogers died hours after the badges for next year's convention were sold out, reported Deadline. Rajasthan polls: Nomination process begins on Monday
The process for filing nomination papers for the Rajasthan assembly election will begin from Monday. Nomination papers will be filed from 11 am to 3 pm. The last date of filing nomination is November 19. Scrutiny will take place on November 20 and nominations can be withdrawn by November 22, according to Chief Electoral Officer Anand Kumar. Queen leads Britain's national WWI remembrance
Britain's Queen Elizabeth II has led a national act of remembrance on the 100th anniversary of the end of World War I. The black-clad queen watched from a balcony in central London on Sunday as her son Prince Charles laid a wreath on her behalf at the foot of the Cenotaph, a memorial honouring fallen servicemen and women. Terming the ongoing Jambu Zoo project "vital" for Jammu and Kashmir, advisor K Vijay Kumar has called for consulting wildlife experts and adopting various methods to develop the zoo on modern lines and make it one of the best in the country. Kumar, the advisor to Governor Satya Pal Malik, visited the Jambu Zoo in Khanpur here on Jammu-Srinagar national highway on Saturday. He inspected the ongoing construction of the Rs 120 crore project being developed by the state forest department, an official spokesman said Sunday. The foundation stone of the project covering an area of 229.50 hectares was laid in September 2016 in a bid to make it a major attraction for animal lovers and tourists. The award was presented to Sarin by Ambassador of France Alexandre Ziegler in recognition of his outstanding contribution to enhancing Indo-French cultural cooperation and promoting the French language. Sarin studied French for five years at the Punjab University, Chandigarh, and later at the Sorbonne University, Paris.
