The Hindu Mahasabha has called for a bandh in Madhya Pradesh's Gwalior on October 6 to oppose the India-Bangladesh cricket match scheduled here next month in protest against "atrocities" on Hindus in the neighbouring country. Condition for supplying ghee to TTD changed during YSRCP govt: CM Naidu

Hitting out at the previous YSRCP government, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Sunday alleged that several procedures to procure ghee by the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams ( TTD) were altered during the earlier regime. He also alleged that appointments to the TTD board became like "gambling" during the previous government and there were instances of appointing people who had no faith and giving preferences to non-Hindus on the board. Speaking to reporters here, the CM said people's sentiments were hurt after the revelation with regard to laddu. Naidu said, as per the earlier conditions, the ghee supplier should have at least three years of experience. However, after Jagan Mohan Reddy came to power it was reduced to one year. The CM also said that the required turnover of the supplier was also reduced to Rs 150 crore from the earlier Rs 250 crore. Andhra Pradesh floods: Central team to visit affected places today

An inter-ministerial team from the Central government will visit flood-ravaged districts in Andhra Pradesh on Thursday and interact with the affected people. The team will visit flood-hit Krishna, NTR and Guntur districts. "The Central team will include National Disaster Management Authority adviser KP Singh, Central Water Commission Director Siddarth Mitra," said a release. The death toll in the unprecedented torrential downpours and floods in the state rose to 32 and the number of evacuees in relief camps increased to 45,369, officials said on Wednesday. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday provided an ex gratia of Rs 5 lakh to the kin of 20 people who perished in rain-related incidents in the state, even as rescue and relief operations continued in parts of Vijayawada. In a teleconference with officials, the Chief Minister instructed them to identify families of the deceased persons to hand over their bodies, or perform last rites on behalf of the government. Andhra CM Chandrababu Naidu launches indigenous Monkeypox RT-PCR kit

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday launched an indigenous Monkeypox (Mpox) RT-PCR (reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction) kit here. The kit was developed at Andhra Pradesh Medtech Zone in Visakhapatnam by Transasia Diagnostics. It was validated by the Indian Council for Medical Research (ICMR) and the Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation (CDSCO). "Proud to launch India's first indigenous monkeypox RT-PCR Kit..The lyophilized components in the kit are designed to be suitable for shipping and even use in remote areas," said Naidu in a post on 'X'. According to the CM, the kit enhances epidemic preparedness manifold with precise, reliable and accessible diagnosis. Andhra CM to visit pharma unit accident site, interact with those injured

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu will meet those injured in the pharma unit fire accident in Visakhapatnam on Thursday and follow it up with a visit to the accident spot here. Andhra govt must review PLI scheme implementation: BJP leader Dinakar

BJP leader Lanka Dinakar on Monday urged the Andhra Pradesh government to review the implementation of Centre's production-linked incentive (PLI) scheme in the state. Andhra CM Naidu meets officials to prevent rain-related loss of life

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has held a meeting with some officials over the heavy rainfall across several places in the state and discussed ways to minimise loss of life from damage caused by the bad weather. The chief minister held a teleconference with Eluru district collector and superintendent of police on Thursday night. The CM directed officials to avert loss of life and cattle.
