Ireda raises over ₹2,000 crore via QIP from domestic, foreign investors

State-owned IREDA has raised over Rs 2,000 crore through the issuance of qualified institutions placement. The qualified institutions placement (QIP) issue, which was open from June 5-10, received an encouraging response from both domestic and foreign qualified institutional buyers (QIBs), including insurance companies, scheduled commercial banks and foreign portfolio investors. The board has approved the allotment of equity shares to eligible qualified institutional buyers in its meeting held on Wednesday. The QIP was oversubscribed with bids amounting to Rs 2,005.90 crore against the base issue size of Rs 1,500 crore, achieving a subscription of 1.34 times. The capital was mobilised by issuing 12.15 crore equity shares at Rs 165.14 per share, which includes a premium of Rs 155.14 per share over the face value of Rs 10, IREDA said. JSW Energy commissions 281 MW renewable energy project in Maharashtra

JSW Energy on Thursday announced the commissioning of 281 MW renewable energy project in Maharashtra with solar capacity of 215 MW and wind capacity of 66 MW. This capacity addition will enable the company to benefit from the peak wind season during the year and will contribute to the overall renewable output, a company statement said. With this, the installed wind capacity stands at 3,482 MW, solar capacity at 1,968 MW and hydro capacity at 1,391 MW, taking the share of renewables in the overall capacity to 55 per cent. Further, JSW Renew Energy Three, a stepdown subsidiary of the company, has signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) with Adani Electricity Mumbai Ltd for STU-connected wind capacity of 250 MW. The PPA is signed for supply of power for a period of 25 years with a tariff of Rs 3.65/KWh. The project is located in Maharashtra and is expected to be commissioned in the next 24 months. Serentica Renewables gets $100 mn debt funding from Rabobank, Socit Gnrale

Serentica Renewables on Thursday said it has secured USD 100 million in debt financing from global financial institutions Rabobank and Socit Gnrale to support the development of a 300 MW solar power project in Rajasthan. Serentica Renewables, a leading Commercial & Industrial (C&I) focused renewable energy company in India, has announced the financial close of its second External Commercial Borrowing (ECB) financing, according to a company statement. Waaree Renewable Technologies bags Rs 345 cr solar project in Rajasthan

Waaree Renewable Technologies Ltd (WRTL) on Tuesday announced securing a solar project worth Rs 345 crore in Rajasthan from a prominent domestic renewable energy generation company. The project is scheduled for completion in the financial year 2025-26, the company said. WRTL has secured a significant EPC order for a 300 MW AC (alternate current)/ 435 MW DC (direct current) ground-mounted solar photovoltaic project in Bikaner, Rajasthan.
