Indian openers Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan demolished Pakistan to hand India a comfortable nine-wicket win in their second Super Four game in the ongoing 2018 Asia Cup here on Sunday.

Chasing a target of 238, Rohit (111 no off 119 balls) and Dhawan (114 off 100 balls) flayed the Pakistan attack adding 210 runs for the opening stand to seal their second lopsided victory in the tournament in only 39.3 overs. It was Rohit's third successive fifty 50 plus score in the tournament with sequence being 52, 83 no and 111 no. Dhawan's is even more impressive with 127, 46, 40 and 114. Naomi Osaka pulls out of Wuhan Open
Recently-crowned US Open champion Naomi Osaka has withdrawn from the ongoing Wuhan Open due to a viral illness.The announcement came after Osaka slumped to a 6-4, 6-4 loss against Karolina Pliskova in the finals of the Toray pan-Pacific Open."I'm very sorry to have to withdraw from Wuhan. I look forward to playing in Wuhan next year," WTA official website quoted Osaka, as saying.Expressing disappointment over Osaka's withdrawal, tournament director Fabrice Chouquet said that they are sorry for not having the world number seven in the tournament."Naomi has had an amazing few weeks and we're very sorry not to see her here in Wuhan. India to play maiden international football friendly against China

Politicians should not interfere in cricketing matters: PCB chief
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Ehsan Mani has said that the politicians should stay away from the cricketing matters of India and Pakistan as they use the game as a tool of politics.Mani further stated that irrespective of the bilateral relation between India and Pakistan, the dialogue between the two cricket boards should continue."We should not meddle in what politicians say. A gold medal remained elusive for India at the junior world wrestling championship as Deepak Punia settled for a silver after losing the 86kg free style final to Turkey's Arif Ozen here on Sunday. Asian Games gold medallist Vinesh Phogat, who was exempted from the World Championship trials, was on Sunday ruled out of the prestigious championship after suffering an elbow injury during practice in Lucknow.
