Goalkeeper Poirei returns to BFC for one year

Indian Super League (ISL) franchise Bengaluru FC have completed the signing of former goalkeeper Soram Anganba Poirei for the upcoming season, the club announced today. He was part of the squad for two years from 2013 to 15. "It feels great to be back at the club where I made some amazing memories, winning my first I-League title and the Federation Cup," said Poirei after penning a one-year-deal. He featured four times in the league for BFC who romped to an I-League title triumph in the 2013-14 season. "The atmosphere at this club is amazing and everybody is professional in their approach. We have some top players in the squad and it should be a great learning experience once again. It's going to be a challenging season but I'm looking forward to it," Poirei said. Lathuammawia Ralte signs for FC Goa

FC Goa have announced the signing of 25-year-old Mizoram goalkeeper Lalthuammawia Ralte from Bengaluru FC ahead of the upcoming edition of Indian Super League. The goalkeeper started his senior career with Shillong Lajong in 2011 and debuted against Churchill Brothers the same year. He contributed to Shillong Lajong's success, taking them to the semi-finals of the Federation Cup in 2011. He joined Bengaluru FC in the summer of 2014 and made his debut a few months later, before helping Bengaluru FC to the I-league title on his debut season. Ralte said, "I am honoured to have signed for FC Goa and I am really looking forward to playing and learning from coach Sergio Lobera. Indian Super League (ISL) franchise Chennaiyin FC today appointed Englishman Paul Groves as its assistant coach for the next season of the league. The 52-year-old Groves, who was last working as first-team coach at Birmingham City last season, replaces compatriot Mark Lillis. Groves is reunited with Chennaiyin FC head coach John Gregory and sports scientist Niall Clark, having worked with the two at Crawley Town in England's League One in the 2014-15 season as first-team coach. Thai cave rescue: Operations resume, eight boys remain trapped

NBA player Clifford Rozier dies of cardiac arrest

American professional basketball player Clifford Rozier died after suffering a heart attack here on Friday. He was 45.Confirming the news, Rozier's brother Kobie Rozier took to his Facebook account and said that his brother was struggling for life after suffering a heart attack and surrendered following a tough fight.The former National Basketball Association (NBA) player was honoured with Florida's Mr. Basketball award after he was chosen as the best high school basketball player in the U.S State of Florida.He was selected by the Golden State Warriors in the first round of the 1994 NBA draft.
