Srikanth enters semifinals of Malaysia Open

Kidambi Srikanth continued his impressive run at the Malaysia Open, progressing to the semifinals of the men's singles competition with a straight-game win over France's Brice Leverdez in the USD 700,000 world tour super 750 tournament here today. Fourth seed Srikanth, who won a silver medal at the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games, dumped world no 22 Leverdez 21-18 21-14 in a 39-minute clash at the Axiata Arena in Bukit Jalil, a suburb in Kuala Lumpur. The ICC Integrity App will give anyone in the game easy access to information they need to tackle issues relating to anti-corruption and anti-doping. The app is designed with the needs of players, officials and team support staff at all levels of the game and across all formats. It ensures participants are equipped with the information required to ensure the game remains clean and their careers do not suffer due to lack of knowledge. Jackichand Singh signs for FC Goa

FC Goa have announced the signing of Manipur winger, Jackichand Singh from Kerala Blasters FC for the forthcoming season of the Indian Super League (ISL). The Indian was picked by FC Pune City in the first ever football player auction in the second season of the league and went on to score one goal for the club before moving to Mumbai City FC the following season. At Mumbai, Jackichand was an integral part of the attacking contingent and contributed to the success of the team on the pitch. Dutee scorches track, betters own national record

Top Indian sprinter Dutee Chand today smashed her own national record in women's 100m dash on the fourth and final day of the 58th National Inter State Senior Athletics Championships here to establish herself as a gold medal contender in the upcoming Asian Games. The 22-year-old Dutee, representing Odisha, clocked 11.29 seconds to shave off one-hundredth of a second from her earlier national record of 11.30 as she scorched the track in the semifinals of the event under good conditions in the morning session at the Indira Gandhi Athletics Stadium here. She has already breached the Asian Games qualifying time of 11.67 when she clocked 11.42 in one the heats yesterday.
