Kevin De Bruyne says Manchester City are ready to reign supreme in the Premier League for years to come under the astute leadership of Pep Guardiola. City were confirmed as English champions on Sunday with a record-equalling five games to spare after Manchester United crashed to a shock 1-0 defeat against struggling West Bromwich Albion. Belgium midfielder De Bruyne has been one of the standout players in City's record-breaking campaign, but he knows Guardiola was the mastermind behind their triumph. City's top priority in the close-season will be securing the services of former Bayern Munich and Barcelona chief Guardiola, who also led his team to League Cup glory in February, for longer than the one year remaining on his contract. "Everyone knows he's one of the best coaches in the world. To achieve what he has achieved in the game is special and to be part of a group of players led by him can only help us to keep developing," De Bruyne said. "He came in two years ago and changed the
Jose Mourinho has vowed to drop several of Manchester United's stars as he fumes over their lacklustre loss to West Bromwich Albion. United crashed to a shock 1-0 home defeat against bottom of the table Albion on Sunday as Jay Rodriguez sealed the visitors' first Premier League win in three months. The limp performance gift-wrapped the Premier League title for arch rivals Manchester City and left United boss Mourinho seething. He accused his players of resting on their laurels after beating City two weeks ago. Now Mourinho will take action when he selects his team for Wednesday's Premier League trip to Bournemouth and Saturday's FA Cup semi-final against Tottenham at Wembley. "Rotating is not the right word," Mourinho said. "If I play a player against Bournemouth and the player is phenomenal, he plays the semi-final. "So is not rotating, because rotating looks like a player that plays against Bournemouth is to give a rest to somebody that is going to play against Spurs in the ...

The Italian league is approaching its epilogue with two rounds of matches this week but the final word on who will lift the Scudetto could be decided on Sunday evening, at the end of the big match between Juventus and Napoli at the Allianz Stadium. Six points separate the six-time reigning champions from second-placed Napoli with six games to go after AC Milan's Gianluigi Donnarumma's last-gasp save denied Napoli a win at the San Siro on Sunday. But Napoli believe they can throw open the championship again by garnering maximum points against Udinese and Juventus as they target a third title after 1987 and 1990. "There are still 18 points up for grabs," insisted Napoli captain Marek Hamsik. "The gap between us and Juventus is getting big, but we must keep believing until it's no ..

Russell occupied the crease briefly, for 12 balls, but hit all over the park en route to a brutal 41 -- 36 off them coming in sixes. That the Jamaican did not have a single four in his whirlwind innings, summed up his dominance, before being deceived by Trent Boult's inswinging yorker that unsettled his leg-stump. The only blip in Russell's innings was when he was dropped on 7 by Jason Roy off the bowling of Mohammed Shami, but from thereon there was no stopping the Jamaican. Russell missed out on a fifty, but Rana brought up his in 30 balls in a highly impressive knock, which ...
