Heat wave conditions prevailed across Haryana and Punjab on Tuesday with most areas experiencing 40-plus degree Celsius temperatures.
The national capital reeled under searing heat Tuesday, recording a maximum temperature of 43.7 degrees Celsius, the highest for the season so far. However, some relief is around the corner with the weather office predicting gusty winds and thunderstorm Wednesday. Many places in Telangana sizzled Monday with the highest maximum temperature of 45.3 degrees Celsius reported in Adilabad. Adilabad was followed by Nizamabad (45), Ramagundam (43.8), Medak (43.6) and Nalgonda (43.5), according to the Met centre of India Meteorological department here.
