IT services company Wipro's USD 375-million acquisition of HARMAN's Digital Transformation Solutions (DTS) business unit has been completed following regulatory nods, according to a release on Tuesday.
The DTS buy was announced on August 21, 2025, and, with the successful closure of the deal, it will begin operating as part of Wipro's engineering global business line, the Bengaluru-headquartered IT company said in its release.
"The acquisition of DTS marks a significant milestone in Wipro's commitment to advance AI capabilities, engineering innovation and R&D excellence," the release said.
It is pertinent to note that on August 21, Wipro said it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire a 100 per cent stake in the Digital Transformation Solutions (DTS) business unit of HARMAN, a Samsung company, for a cash consideration of up to USD 375 million (about Rs 3,270 crore).

As many as 20 early morning passengers were stranded between two stations when the Chennai Metro train halted midway due to a glitch on Tuesday. They were however safely rescued, the authorities said.
The incident that happened between the High Court and Central Stations caused apprehension among the commuters. They were rescued later and the train services resumed from 6.30 am.
Due to a technical issue, the Metro train halted between the High Court station and Puratchi Thalaivar Dr M G Ramachandran Central Metro Station. Immediate evacuation was done, and the train was promptly withdrawn from the line, the Chennai Metro Rail said in a release.
Normal operations resumed at 6.20 am, it said and regretted the inconvenience caused to the passengers.
Metro train services between Airport and Wimco Nagar Depot on Blue Line have resumed normal Operations. Central Metro to St. Thomas Mount on the Green Line are also running as per the normal schedule, the Chennai Metro Rail said in a post

The Congress on Tuesday attacked the Modi government over the filing of a fresh FIR in the National Herald case and said it is confident that the judiciary will see through this "political vendetta and mindless attempts to hound".

In its pre-Budget recommendations to the government, NATHEALTH said it outlined a roadmap to strengthen healthcare delivery, foster innovation, and expand insurance and preventive coverage.
The recommendations call for a balanced mix of fiscal support, structural reforms, and public-private collaboration to build a robust, future-ready health system, it said in a statement.
In its recommendations, NATHEALTH asked the sector to be declared 'core infrastructure' and create a healthcare infrastructure fund of Rs 50,000 crore, saying currently there is limited access to long-term, lower-cost capital for hospitals and diagnostic networks.
