Bhubaneswar (Odisha), May 07 (ANI): People of Bhubaneswar are facing several problems due to unavailability of cash in Automated Teller Machines (ATM) after cyclone Fani hit Odisha on May 03. People are standing in long queues outside ATMs to get cash. Cyclonic storm Fani wreaked havoc in Odisha, West Bengal and nearby areas. For daily usage commodities people are forced to pay extra amount of money. One of the locals said, "After 1999, we are facing such problem and also feeling helpless at the same time."
New Delhi, May 07 (ANI): After the hearing of EVM and VVPAT in the Supreme Court, Congress leader and Supreme Court lawyer Abhishek Manu Singhvi said, "Earlier, we had filed a petition by the 21 parties of India which represent roughly 70%-75% of electorate. The signatories to the affidavit with the petition and the review petition include current sitting chief ministers, presidents of parties and other leaders as well as nominees of individual parties. This is only to underline the grave and serious interest of these leaders on the issue at hand namely an increase of VVPAT counting as a sample auto check. We are not talking about EVMs for the present, we bow down to the court order which has just now dismissed our review prayer."

Bhopal (MP), May 07 (ANI): A Congress delegation led by former Union Minister and Congress leader Suresh Pachouri reached former Madhya Pradesh chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan's residence today. They reached his residence with documents containing details of farmers whose loans have been waived off by the present state government. Earlier, Shivraj Singh Chouhan had accused Congress of blatantly lying on farm loan waiver in the state, BJP leader Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that both Congress president Rahul Gandhi and Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kamal Nath have given contradictory statements on loan-waiver to farmers.
Bhopal (MP), May 07 (ANI): After Congress delegation reached former Madhya Pradesh chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan's residence today with documents containing details of those farmers whose loans have been waived off by the present state government, Chouhan addressed a press conference in MP's Bhopal and said, "Go to the field, see the farmer shouting that the loan was not waived off, they are getting different notices for recovery of debt, and the Congress government is saying that they waived off the loan. Model Code of Conduct contains the provision that if the beneficiaries have already been identified then they can put money in their bank account. This is the request to the chief minister that satisfy the farmers rather than satisfying me."
Muzaffarpur (Bihar), May 07 (ANI): EVMs and VVPAT were found from a hotel in Bihar's Muzaffarpur yesterday. The notice has been issued to concerned people, asking for their reply on the incident. While speaking to ANI, District Magistrate Alok Ranjan Ghosh said, "Sector officer was given some reserved machines so that it could be replaced with faulty ones. After replacing EVMs, he was left with two balloting unit, one control unit and two VVPAT in his car. He shouldn't have unloaded the machines in hotel which is against rules. Since he has violated rules, departmental investigation will be done".
Rajgarh (MP), May 07 (ANI): Congress leader and candidate from Bhopal Digvijaya Singh at a rally in Madhya Pradesh's Rajgarh on May 06 said, "Today, he (former chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan) says that the name of Digvijaya Singh should not come out of my mouth, otherwise he have to take bath. Poonch (J and K), May 07 (ANI): An NGO called Shahida Parveen Foundation Charitable Trust distributed ration among orphans and widows in Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch. The aim was to provide free food to the needy people. More than 1,000 people got ration through the initiative. NGO's chairperson said, "I wanted to do something for the people of Poonch."
Jalandhar (Punjab), May 07 (ANI): A massive fire broke out in Punjab's Jalandhar on Monday. It broke after crackers used in a wedding procession fell in an electrical shop. Fire tenders were present at the spot to douse the fire. Police officials were also present. No causalities have been reported yet. More details are awaited.

They are more inclined to consume alcohol and tobacco, are more likely to complain of psychosomatic problems and their chances of having problems with their social environment increase, too. As part of the study, a team of researchers compared data provided by the World Health Organization (WHO). The WHO researchers had asked approximately 3,000 adolescents from each country about their lives as part of an extensive study conducted over a number of years. The data included information on any bullying the adolescents had experienced from other students, but also details of alcohol and tobacco consumption, psychosomatic complaints, how easy they found it to talk to their friends and how they viewed the social support of their classmates. Bandipora (JandK), May 07 (ANI): 85-km-long Bandipora-Gurez road in Jammu and Kashmir was opened for vehicular traffic on Monday after 5 months. The stretch was closed owing to intense snowfall in the region. Gurez road was cut off after the road closed. Ceremony was held at Razdan pass, 11,500 feet above sea level. With consistent efforts by Indian Army and Border Road Organisation (BRO), the road was cleared in due time.
Kathua (JandK), : Jammu and Kashmir police have seized 275 Kg of poppy straw in JandK's Kathua. Police have also apprehended two men and a woman in connection with the drug. According to the Kathua SDPO Border R Singh, "During regular checking, 55 kg poppy straw was recovered from a car. Upon investigation a raid was conducted in the area and a further 220 kg poppy straw and Rs 3,22,260 in cash were recovered, 3 people were arrested."
Visakhapatnam (AP), May 07 (ANI): Indian Navy's frontline missile destroyer INS Ranjit was decommissioned at Naval Dock in Visakhapatnam on May 6. The mighty destroyer served Indian Navy for 36 years. It was decommissioned at a solemn ceremony. INS Ranjit was third of five Rajput-class destroyers made by erstwhile USSR.

Amethi (UP), May 06 (ANI): People of Tendua village in Amethi district of Uttar Pradesh were disappointed as their names went missing from voters' list at booth number 374 And 375 in the primary school. Villagers claimed that their names were present in the voter list for the previous Gram Sabha Elections but this time almost 50 percent of the voters' name went missing from the list. A local from the village said that there are six people in his family but only two got the right to vote this time.
