Mumbai, May 04 (ANI): A massive fire broke out at a building in Mumbai's Patlipada today. This incident took place at around 05:45 am in Ghodbunder road of Mumbai. One fire tender reached the spot with rescue vehicle and water tankers. Fire has been doused now. Around 22 people have been evacuated safely by the Regional Disaster Management Cell (RDMC) and fire brigade official. No injuries or casualty has been reported so far.
Meerut (UP), May 04 (ANI): The retired staff of an insurance company has been sexually exploiting minor girls in his house since months in Uttar Pradesh's Meerut. The Meerut Crime Branch has taken the accused into custody and the police have also questioned the relatives of the girls in the case. Further investigation is underway.

Valsad (Gujarat), May 04 (ANI): People in Gujarat's Valsad district fight battle for water due to acute scarcity. Women's in Korwad village of Dharampur Tehsil every day queue up outside a hand pump in the night to fetch water. Villagers walk miles to fetch water for daily chores during midnight. Drought and scarcity of drinking water are the common issues for villagers during the summers. One of the villager said, "There is water scarcity in the area. We work during the day, so take out time in the night to collect water. We have to wait for around two hours to fill one pot of water."
Digha (West Bengal)/ Kolkata (West Bengal), May 04 (ANI): Cyclonic storm Fani, which wreaked havoc in Odisha, has made landfall in West Bengal today. The cyclonic story crossed Kharagpur and is likely to continue further in North-East direction with a wind speed of 90 km/hour. Heavy rains along with a wind speed of 175 kmph battered Odisha as cyclone Fani made landfall close to the temple town of Puri on Friday morning, leaving a trail of destruction in the state. The impact of the "extremely severe cyclonic storm" was felt in neighbouring West Bengal including in the beach town of Digha, Kolkata and other areas. The cyclone, which crossed Odisha coast close to Puri coast between 8 a.m and 10 a.m. with a maximum wind speed of around 175 Kmph, caused "huge damage" in Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Puri, and Khordha districts in the state.
Kullu (Himachal Pradesh), May 04 (ANI): The snow clearing operation is underway in Himachal Pradesh's Kullu district on Friday. The Border Roads Organisation (BRO) is clearing snow on the Manali-Leh road for over a month now. The roads are being cleared for traffic movement. Several teams have cleared the snow from the roads. Hundreds of people are still crossing the routes of snow clad mountains on foot daily. This year due to heavy snowfall and snow avalanches till April it has created troubles for the workers deputed on snow clearing operations by BRO.
Bhubaneswar (Odisha), May 04 (ANI): Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik held a review meeting with senior officials on the destruction caused by cyclonic storm Fani in the state. Speaking to media after the meeting in Odisha's Bhubaneswar, Naveen Patnaik said in the last 24 hours, over 12 lakh people have been evacuated from vulnerable districts to safer locations. "Just now, I reviewed the cyclone situation with the chief secretary and other senior officers. Our first priority is to evacuate people living in vulnerable areas, including kutcha houses. In the last 24 hours, 12 lakh people have been evacuated to safer locations and they are being taken care of in shelters. As we speak, Fani is still passing through Odisha, and an assessment of damage will be possible only after it crosses the state," he said. Guwahati (Assam), May 04 (ANI): A royal Bengal female tiger was brought in Guwahati's Assam State Zoo after it was found injured in the Orang National Park. She was found injured in Sonitpur district and was rescued after over two months on April 5. The nails of her feet had become brittle, its eyes had begun to lose vision and it was nearing his death when it was found by the team of zookeepers in Sonitpur district. Speaking to ANI, Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) of Assam State Zoo, Tejas Mariswamy said, "He was then brought to a state zoo in Guwahati for treatment. He is out of danger now." The tiger is being treated by the doctors and kept in a comfortable cage. She has been shifted to Assam State Zoo for treatment and is recovering well.
Hyderabad (Telangana), May 04 (ANI): A resident of Hyderabad, Hafez Mohammed Bahauddin thanked the External Affairs Minister (EAM) Sushma Swaraj and Indian Embassy officials for rescuing him from Saudi Arabia and sending him back to India on Friday. While speaking to ANI, Hafez Mohammed Bahauddin narrated the entire incident and said, "I used to work as a Quran teacher in Hyderabad when an agent offered me a job at a mosque in Saudi Arabia's Al Bahah. I payed him Rs 95,000." "The agent sent me to a remote place and made me work as a cleaner. I was sick but the employer refused to take me to hospital. Indian Embassy officials rescued me and issued me a ticket for Hyderabad. I would like to thank Sushma Swaraj Ji and Indian Embassy," he added. Sushma Swaraj has played a key role in rescuing many victims of human trafficking from India and bringing them back to the country in her term as the MEA since assuming office on May 26 2014.
Hazaribagh (Jharkhand), May 04 (ANI): In a unique campaign, election awareness messages to educate and motivate tribals to cast their vote are stuck on trees in Jharkhand's Hazaribagh. The awareness program was held in Doodhmatiya jungle of Hazaribagh which is around 30 kilometres away from the district center. A group of people, not associated with any organisation, has taken the initiative to aware the voters who live in and around the jungles. Talking about the motive of such a unique awareness campaign, Shambhu, one of the individuals associated with this campaign said, "We are doing it for the tribals. They do not know about voting. As they mainly live in jungles, we are trying this way. They will see and read these things and go to polling booths." New Delhi, May 04 (ANI): A non-smoker should leave a smoky room or car until it has been cleared, suggest researchers as secondhand smoke can cause high blood pressure and hypertension. "Our study in non-smokers shows that the risk of high blood pressure (hypertension) is higher with longer duration of passive smoking-but even the lowest amounts are dangerous," said author, Byung Jin Kim in the details discussed in the Meeting of EuroHeartCare. Passive smoking at home or work was linked with a 13% increased risk of hypertension. Living with a smoker after age 20 was associated with a 15% greater risk. Exposure to passive smoking for ten years or more was related to a 17% increased risk of hypertension. High blood pressure is the leading global cause of premature death. Previous research has suggested a link between passive smoking and hypertension in non-smokers.

The company has officially announced that the original series and specials will be available for free worldwide, albeit supported with ads. New Delhi, May 03 (ANI): Japan Prime Minister Shinzo Abe on Thursday proposed to meet North Korean leader Kim Jong-un 'unconditionally' to 'break the shell of mutual distrust'. "I want to meet Chairman Kim Jong UN unconditionally and talk with him frankly with an open mind," Al Jazeera quoted Shinzo Abe as saying. "It is more than important for our country to be proactive in tackling the issue. We cannot break the shell of mutual distrust between Japan and North Korea unless I directly face Kim," added Abe. North Korean authorities are yet to respond to Japan's proposal. In January also, Abe indicated that he is planning to meet Kim. Till 2017, Japan had accused North Korea of repeatedly testing missiles while pointing them towards Japan. Srinagar (JandK), Mar 03 (ANI): While speaking to ANI on Shopian encounter, IGP Jammu and Kashmir, SP Pani said, "Shopian encounter is over and 3 terrorists killed. They have been identified as Lateef Ahmed Dar, Tariq Sheikh and Sharik Nengroo. They were affiliated to terror group Hizbul Mujahideen and there were series of cases against them. There has been no collateral damage." The encounter took place in Adkhara area in south Kashmir's Shopian district.
