Congress reaches Election Commission over EVM issues

New Delhi, May 03 (ANI): Congress delegation led by party leader Abhishek Singhvi met Election Commission on Friday. After the meeting with the EC, Singhvi said that the delegation has raised three main issues regarding Electronic Voting Machine (EVM). "If Election Commission's finds any mistake or illegal things during their own internal auto check then there should be fresh voting again," said Singhvi. The delegation also demanded unique numbers on EVMs for rechecking the voting machines. The third main issue was mock trail of the EVMs while replacing them.

Off Coast Odisha, May 03 (ANI): The Indian Coast Guard on Friday loaded relief material on a chopper. Relief material to be distributed to the people affected due to extremely severe cyclone 'Fani'. The extremely severe cyclone made landfall early this morning in coastal areas in Odisha. The state administration has evacuated lakhs of people to safety as heavy rains battered the region.

Cyclone Fani: Winds in Odisha's Puri would be of 170-180 gusting to 200 km/hr, says IMD Scientist

Visakhapatnam (AP), May 03 (ANI): While speaking to ANI, after Cyclone 'Fani' hits Odisha's Puri, India Meteorological Department (IMD) Visakhapatnam's Scientist, SVJ Kumar said, "Extremely severe cyclonic storm Fani over Northwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining west central Bay of Bengal is currently about 300 km East-Northeast of Visakhapatnam and 25 km west-southwest of Puri. At the time of crossing, winds at Puri would be of 170-180 gusting to 200 km/hr."
