'EC not paying adequate attention': Opposition reiterates concerns on alleged EVM malfunctioning

New Delhi, Apr 14 (ANI): The opposition parties on Saturday reiterated their concerns regarding the alleged malfunctioning of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs), and accused the Election Commission (EC) of not paying 'adequate attentions' to purported questions that were raised post the completion of first phase of Lok Sabha elections. The opposition also raised eyebrows on the VVPAT machines allegedly displaying voted symbol only for three seconds instead of seven seconds. "Questions were raised after the 1st phase of election; we don't think EC is paying adequate attention. If you press the button before X Party, vote goes to Y party. VVPAT displays only for 3 seconds, instead of 7 seconds," Congress leader Abhishek Manu Singhvi told media in a joint opposition presser.
