Koppal (Karnataka), Apr 12 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday took a jibe at former prime minister HD Devegowda's son and Janata Dal (Secular) (JD(S)) leader HD Revanna over quitting politics if PM Modi becomes Prime Minister again. He said that Revanna would quit politics if BJP comes into power again, the same thing was said by his father HD Devegowda in 2014, but he didn't quit likewise Revanna will also not quit. "Forget 'sanyas,' he (Devegowda) is giving tickets to every family members," said PM Modi. Chennai, Apr 12 (ANI): Union Minister of Railways and Coal Piyush Goyal on Friday took a pot shot at Congress party on Tamil Nadu's water issues. He said that Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is committed to setup an authority which will implement the interlinking of rivers in the state. Slamming the opposition party, Railways Minister said that no work had been done in 10 years from 2004-2014 in Congress and DMK were in power. New Delhi, Apr 12 (ANI): Harvinder Singh Sarna, brother of Shiromani Akali Dal (Delhi) leader S Paramjit Sarna, manhandled an ANI journalist on Friday. The journalist was mistreated after he questioned Harvinder on the farewell reception organised for outgoing Pakistan High Commissioner to India Sohail Mahmood by his brother Paramjit. Harvinder also roughed up the cameraman, who accompanied the journalist and hurled abuses. Paramjit sparked row after he sent an invite to Mahmood to felicitate and bid him farewell. The godown in MP's Shahdol has almost 20,000 books which have former MP chief minister's printed message. Work of removing the message from the text books is on full swing after the orders of the authorities. Books costs around 3 lakhs have been sent to schools after removing ex-CM Chouhan's message. Anantnag (Jammu and Kashmir), Apr 12 (ANI): A new medical college is being constructed by the government of Jammu and Kashmir in Anantnag. It consists of girl's and boy's hostel including other facilities. Their main aim is not only to serve the medical students of South Kashmir, but also to provide good medical service to the local people. The project is being undertaken by Jammu and Kashmir Projects Construction Corporation (JKPCC). The estimated cost of the total project is around Rs 139 crores. The project is undertaken in 156 canals with residential quarters of the faculties. According to JKPCC official, 'We have completed the project worth Rs 53.65crores. All these facilities will be completed by the next year'. Central government has also sanctioned five new medical colleges at Rajouri, Doda, Kathua, Anantnag and Baramulla few years ago.
