Visakhapatnam (Andhra Pradesh), Mar 26 (ANI): A massive fire broke out in a cracker manufacturing unit in Visakhapatnam's Sabbavaram Mandal on Monday. This incident took place at Gullepalli village. Seven persons were critically injured including three women and they were shifted to King George Hospital (KGH) in Visakhapatnam. Seven persons are having more than 85% of burn. Six of them were said to belong to the same family. Police and fire tenders immediately rushed to the spot. Police and locals rescued the injured persons.

New Delhi, Mar 26 (ANI): Boys with excess belly fat enter puberty at an earlier age than average, scientists have found, a recent study suggests. According to data collected from 527 Chilean boys aged 4 to 7 years, both total body obesity and central obesity, or excess belly fat, were associated with greater odds of starting puberty before age 9, researchers from the University of Chile in Santiago, Chile reported. "With the increase in childhood obesity worldwide, there has been an advance in the age at which puberty begins in girls. However, in boys the evidence has been controversial," said Maria Veronica Mericq, lead author of the study. Some U.S. studies have found that obesity delayed puberty, whereas another study showed that only overweight but not obesity-induced earlier puberty in boys. Pune (Maharashtra), Mar 26 (ANI): Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Sunil Lanba inaugurated the Indian Navy's Nuclear, Biological and Chemical Training Facility (NBCTF) at INS Shivaji in Pune's Lonavala today. The NBCTF, christened "Abhedya", impenetrable in Sanskrit, will help train personnel of naval ships fitted with nuclear, biological and chemical detection and protection systems. Admiral Lanba also launched the INS Shivaji's website on the Indian Navy portal. He also released the platinum jubilee logo, with the theme "Propelling the Indian Navy since 1945", for the premier technical training establishment. INS Shivaji celebrates its platinum jubilee year in 2019-20.
New Delhi, Mar 26 (ANI): Vice Chancellor of Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), M Jagadesh Kumar, alleged that a section of students barged into his and confined his wife inside for several hours. Assistant Professor at JNU, Dr Buddh Singh, told ANI, "It seems that ppl from outside are provoking students for mob lynching. It's very shameful that the family of VC was attacked. Even lady guards were hurt. VC's wife who was alone in the house was confined for hours inside the house. I would say that they had a proper plan to attack and murder. Guwahati (Assam), Mar 26 (ANI): Minister of State (MoS) for Railways, Rajen Gohain, expressed happiness over the rape charges being quashed by Gauhati High Court, and said that he does not have anything against those who leveled the allegations on him. "High Court dismissed the case today. I'm happy. I had said I won't contest elections unless proven innocent. My mind is relaxed now. I've nothing against those who levelled allegations against me but I am simply happy," Gohain told ANI.
New Delhi, Mar 26 (ANI): Minister of State (independent charge) for MSME in the union cabinet, Giriraj Singh on Monday said that he was "hurt" as the BJP didn't allot him his incumbent Nawada Lok Sabha seat, and that he will not "compromise" his self respect. He, however, clarified that he had nothing against the Begusarai constituency, which the party has assigned him. "My self respect is hurt that no other MP's seat was changed in Bihar. It was decided without talking to me. State BJP leadership should tell me why it was done. I have nothing against Begusarai but I can not compromise with my self respect," Singh told ANI.
Vijaywada (Andhra Pradesh), Mar 26 (ANI): Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister and National Conference (NC) leader Farooq Abdullah said that there would have been an "international cry" if 300 people had died in the Balakot air strikes.
