Udhampur (Jammu and Kashmir), Mar 22 (ANI): The family of 25-year-old Army rifleman, Yash Paul mourns his death in Jammu and Kashmir's Udhampur on Thursday. He lost his life in ceasefire violation by Pakistan in Sunderbani sector on March 21. This is the second instance of a solider dying in ceasefire violations this week. Since January, Pakistani troops have allegedly violated the ceasefire over 110 times along the Line of Control (LoC).

2 people safely rescued after landslide occurred in HP's Kullu

Kullu (Himachal Pradesh), Mar 22 (ANI): The two people who were trapped under debris, after a landslide occurred in Himachal Pradesh's Kullu district on Thursday have been safely rescued. This incident took place at Lag Valley in Kullu district. Both rescued people are alive and shifted to the nearby hospital for medical treatment.

Apple releases new AirPods with Siri and wireless charging support

New Delhi, Mar 21 (ANI): After announcing its refreshed iPads, Apple has now rolled out its second-generation AirPods. The wireless earbuds are now improved in terms of features and capabilities. The second-gen Apple AirPods come with a wireless charging case and a new H1 chip that promises improved battery life. The automatically-on AirPods can sense when they are plugged in and when they have been taken out. One of the interesting additions is the support for Siri. Simply call out 'Hey Siri' to control your music, make a call, and so on. To enable the wireless charging mode, you need to set the case on a Qi-compatible charging mat and let it charge. The new AirPods with wireless charging case will retail at USD 199, with the standard charging case, it will cost USD 159. The wireless charging case is available separately at USD 79.

Depression in 20s linked to memory loss in 50s: Study suggests

New Delhi, Mar 21 (ANI): As part of a recent study, a team of psychologists has found that depression in the 20s can be linked to memory loss in 50s. The psychologists analyzed data from the National Child Development Study, which was established in 1958 with a cohort of over 18,000 babies and followed participants from birth into childhood and through to adulthood. The psychologists found that an accumulation of symptoms experienced by participants over the three decades provided a strong indicator of a linear decrease in memory function by the time the adults were fifty. They found that one episode of depression or anxiety had little effect on the memory function of adults in midlife, regardless of which decade it was experienced, but that once the episodes increased to two or three over the course of the three decades, that this predicted a steady decrease in the participant's memory function by the time they reached fifty. Dharwad building collapse: Death toll rises to 11

Karnataka Deputy CM G Parameshwara pays surprise visit to Indira Canteen

Bengaluru (Karnataka), Mar 21 (ANI): Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister G Parameshwara paid a surprise visit to Indira Canteen in Nayandahalli to check the quality of food on Thursday. Earlier on Monday, Parameshwara rubbished reports which claimed that food being served in the canteen is 'poisonous'. Parameshwara's remarks came after reports surfaced that the food being served in Indira Canteen is 'unfit for human consumption'. Indira Canteen is a food subsidisation programme operated by the government of Karnataka. The programme was launched in August 2017 to provide meals at subsidised rates.

Security forces launch search operation to nab terrorists in J-K's Bandipora

Noah Centineo in Talks to Star in 'Masters of the Universe' as He-Man

New Delhi, Mar 21 (ANI): 'To All the Boys I've Loved Before' fame, Noah Centineo, is in talks to make his debut in the Marvel cinematic universe with 'Masters of the Universe' film as the classic toy character He-Man. Based on the Mattel's popular toy line, the plot of the film revolves around Prince Adam of Eternia, who uses his Power Sword to transform into the hero He-Man and defends his kingdom and Castle Grayskull, which the source of his power, from Skeletor, the villain of the storyline. The screenplay of the film is being penned by Iron Man writers Art Marcum and Matt Holloway and the direction is being helmed by Adam and Aaron Nee. Centineo became an overnight sensation after his breakthrough performance in the Netflix original film.
