Chamoli (Uttarakhand), Feb 11 (ANI): ITBP troops constructed 'jhula bridge' across disconnected villages in Chamoli. The bridge will be used to transport ration from one side of the bridge to another. A flash flood triggered due to glacier burst on Feb 07 in Chamoli district. Around 32 people have died in the incident so far, and more than 170 are still missing.
Prayagraj (UP), Feb 11 (ANI): On being asked about Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra's visit to Prayagraj on 'Mauni Amavasya', IG Kavindra Pratap Singh said, "As today is the peak day for Mela (on Mauni Amavasya), we will not give VIP treatment to anyone. New Delhi, Feb 10 (ANI): While addressing a press conference in the national capital, the Secretary in Ministry of Labour and Employment, Apurva Chandra, said the proposed labour codes which include changing in working hours of employees will provide flexibility in working hours for employees, adding that some employers are even interested in giving their workers three days of paid leave weekly by tweaking the shift hours. "During tripartite discussion, concerns about working hours going up by 12 hours were raised. Employer may provide for 5-day working week. We have tried to bring in some flexibility by correcting 12-hour work day." "Changes will be shared in final list," he told mediapersons on February 08.
Chamoli (Uttarakhand), Feb 10 (ANI): JCB machines are continuously on the task to clear the tunnel near Tapovan dam in Chamoli district. Teams are focused towards clearing the debris and slush which is blocking the way. Chamoli ITBP, DIG, Aparna Kumar said, "Technical issues cropped up in one of the JCB machines, as its tyre busted. Machines to continue to work inside the tunnel. The challenge we are facing is that debris and slush is coming out from the tunnel. We need to progress carefully as water with high pressure might come from inside the tunnel."
Dehradun (Uttarakhand), Feb 10 (ANI): While speaking to ANI in Dehradun on February 10, Director General of Police (DGP) of Uttarakhand, Ashok Kumar spoke on glacier blast tragedy. DGP Kumar said, "There is not much progress in the rescue operation. We have recovered 32 bodies, 8 identified, 24 unknown. Rescue team has also recovered 2 bodies of Uttarakhand police personnel." "Can't confirm exact number for missing and dead people but it's between 192 and 204," he added.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi recalled an incident to highlight the humane side of veteran Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad in the Rajya Sabha on February 9 as the Upper House bid farewell to the Leader of Opposition. Chamoli (Uttarakhand), Feb 10 (ANI): As rescue operations continued in disaster-hit Chamoli district, a meeting of all agencies including senior officials of ITBP, NDRF, Army and local administration to be held on February 10. This meeting is being held to discuss the further course of action. Joint team of ITBP, NDRF, SDRF and other agencies entered into the Tapovan tunnel on the morning of February 10. The tunnel is still approachable up to about 120 meters. More slush and water coming from the other end of the tunnel has made the way ahead difficult.

As many as 32 bodies have been recovered so far from different areas hit by the glacier burst.
