New Delhi, Oct 12 (ANI): Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal attended first board meeting of Delhi Skill and Entrepreneurship University. CM believes that the university will provide job-oriented education to students. "The first board meeting of Delhi Skill and Entrepreneurship University was held today. I met all the Board members. The objective of the University is to ensure that the students who pass out from here get the jobs they want," said Arvind Kejriwal.
Railway services across the city on the Western Railway and Central Railway came to a grinding halt at 1005 hrs as a result of the power outage, with both the networks blaming power cut from Tata Power (their power supplier) for it. Many commuters who were stuck in the trains due to the grid failure have been rescued. Central railways took to social media and tweeted, "Security personnel helping those commuters who wanted to get down from suburban trains which were held up in sections."

This year there've been 75 successful operations in which 180 terrorists have been killed. Separately, 138 terrorists and their associates have been arrested. New Delhi, Oct 12 (ANI): Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh inaugurated 44 bridges on October 12 made by Border Roads Organisation (BRO) across seven States/Union Territories. While speaking to ANI, Border Roads Organisation (BRO), DG, Lt Gen Harpal Singh said, "We've sped up conversion of temporary bridges into permanent bridges. This year we're going three times our capacity. It'll help in economic growth, infrastructure development, tourism, andspeedier movement of our strategic forces." "In Ladakh, a large number of bridges are being constructed. About 30-40 bridges are under construction which will be completed between 6 months to one and a half years," he added.

It also disrupted train traffic of Central, Eastern and Western lines, according to Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport (BEST). Speaking to ANI, the Chief Public Relations Officer (CPRO) of Central Railway in Mumbai, Shivaji M Sutar said, "Trains between CSMT-Panvel on Harbour Line have resumed. We are trying to restore services between CSMT-Kalyan, CSMT-Karjat/Kasara." "Long-distance trains from Mumbai rescheduled and incoming trains regulated at interchange points," CPRO added.

But a Garba dancer in Ahmedabad has come up with something new. He has designed a special PPE kit-themed Navratri costume, which is made of plastic. New Delhi, Oct 12 (ANI): Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh laid foundation stone for Nechiphu Tunnel on road to Tawang, Arunachal Pradesh via video conferencing. Defence Minister also inaugurated 44 bridges on October 12 made by Border Roads Organisation (BRO) across seven States/Union Territories, via video-conferencing. Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) Bipin Rawat, Indian Army chief MM Naravane and MoS Dr Jitendra Singh were present on the occasion. Pakur (Jharkhand), Oct 12 (ANI): Jharkhand police has arrested one person in illegal possession of explosives from Hiranpur area of Pankur. The incident happened on Oct 11. Hooghly (West Bengal), Oct 12 (ANI): Protesters blocked railway tracks at Pundooah railway station in WB and demanded train services on October 11 demanding train services claiming that they face difficulty in commuting by special trains during the lockdown. Some special trains are being run exclusively for railway employees while common passengers have to manage their travelling in the limited number of trains running due to the pandemic. Protesting against the travelling exclusivity, passengers at Pundooah railway station have stopped the rail service by putting a huge stone on the railway line.
