Ladakh, Oct 12 (ANI): A video of Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) soldier teaching salute to kid in Ladakh is going viral. In the video, the kid can be seen saluting the ITBP officer with enthusiasm and was later taught 'correct' posture by the personnel. The video is filmed by ITBP officer on October 08.
Jaipur (Rajasthan), Oct 12 (ANI): ADG of Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) of Rajasthan, Ashok Kumar Rathore said, "Based on information, raids were conducted in five locations across Hyderabad, Delhi, Jaipur and Nagaur in connection with illegal betting on the cricket matches being played at IPL, 2020. With the help of local police, ATS officials have taken into custody 7 people each from Hyderabad and Jaipur for interrogation. Accused from Delhi and Nagaur locations are yet to be nabbed. We are further investigating the matter."

Two persons have been arrested in this connection and several machines and equipments to make country made pistols have been seized by the police. The illegal arms factory was being run by the accused for a long time. Further investigation by the police is underway.
Kalaburagi (Karnataka), Oct 11 (ANI): Amid COVID-19 pandemic, people were seen moving without masks in a Karnataka's Kalaburagi market on October 11. "Mostly the youth is taking it very lightly. It's important to use masks, distance and sanitise," says Dr Deshmukh, COVID-19 Committee, Kalaburagi Medical College. Meanwhile, the total number of active cases in Karnataka stands at 1,20,948.
Thiruvananthapuram (Kerala), Oct 11 (ANI): Speaking on the current COVID-19 situation in Kerala, state Health Minister KK Shailaja on October 11 said, "It is incorrect to say that cases are very high in Kerala. The cases are definitely rising. But the mortality rate is not as high as other states. The ultimate aim is to reduce the mortality rate." The total number of active cases in Kerala has reached 96,003.

New Delhi, Oct 11 (ANI): An ambulance driver who served COVID-19 patients by carrying their corpses to crematorium died of coronavirus. Arif Khan resiliently redeemed his duties and carried bodies of COVID-19 patients to crematorium got infected from the invisible enemy and succumbed to the virus. In COVID times, several family members unfortunately didn't accept bodies of their loved ones, who died from the virus but Arif carried the bodies and performed their last rites with his fellow drivers of Shaheed Bhagat Singh Sewa Dal. Arif got infected from the virus on October 1 and was admitted to hospital after testing positive of COVID-19. He came home but again admitted to hospital and succumbed to virus on October 10. Arif will be remembered as a true COVID warrior in memories of people to whom he served.
Indian Air Force (IAF) started sorties at Leh air base in Ladakh on October 10. IAF's Chinook helicopter carried out sortie from its airbase in Ladakh. MiG 29 fighter aircraft also carried out sortie from the Leh airbase. “We're ready and well-positioned to take on our adversaries. Our deployments in assessed areas are complete and the winter challenges are being addressed. We've suitably assessed the adversary and have necessary plans in place,” Flight Lieutenant Neha Singh, IAF told ANI.

He was the founder of the Lok Janshakti Party and Minister for Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution. He had recently undergone a heart operation. The first convoy of the Indian Army passed through the newly-inaugurated Atal Tunnel near Manali in Himachal Pradesh on Wednesday. The tunnel helps in saving four to five hours of travel time and 46 kilometres distance Manali and Leh in Union Territory of Ladakh. On October 3, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had inaugurated the Atal Tunnel, which at 9.02 km is the longest highway tunnel in the world and connects Manali to Lahaul-Spiti Valley in Rohtang.
The Reserve Bank's next meeting of the rate setting panel will be held for three days beginning October 7. The government yesterday appointing three members on the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC).
