New Delhi, June 17 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi interacted with Chief Ministers of 15 states and Lieutenant Governors of Union Territories via video conferencing on June 17. According to Prime Minister's Office (PMO), PM Modi discussed the situation post unlock 1.0 and plan for tackling the COVID-19 pandemic. Chief Ministers (CMs) thanked the PM for his leadership and briefed him about the ground situation in states and their preparedness to tackle the impact of coronavirus. They talked about health infrastructure available to meet the challenge and steps taken to strengthen it further. Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that, "We have so far been quite successful in our fight against the virus under the leadership of the PM, but the battle is far from over. He underlined that as we begin to unlock, we must stay vigilant."
New Delhi, June 17 (ANI): Deputy Director-General, India Meteorological Department (IMD), Anand Sharma on June 16 stated that temperature in Delhi-NCR region and the northwest India are above normal which will continue in coming days. May be after 20th June, the temperature will fall, he added. "There may be respite around 20th June as we are expecting a low-pressure system to form in the Bay of Bengal which will strengthen the easterlies and that can bring rain," Sharma further said.
Mumbai, June 14 (ANI): Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput allegedly committed suicide on June 14 at his residence in Mumbai. Speaking on the matter, Abhishek Trimukhe, DCP Zone 9, Mumbai said, "Actor Sushant Singh Rajput has died apparently due to hanging but police can tell the exact cause of his death only after receiving post mortem report. So far, we have not found any suspicious object."
New Delhi, June 14 (ANI): Government will not keep anyone in the dark over India and China standoff matter assured Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on June 14. "Talks are underway with China at diplomatic and military level. China too expressed wish to resolve this issue via talks. I'd like to inform opposition that our government won't keep anyone in the dark. Mumbai, June 14 (ANI): Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput committed suicide on June 14. In preliminary investigation, he was found hanging at his residence. The reason behind his suicide is yet to be ascertained. Rajput has worked in films like 'Kai Po Che', 'M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story', 'Kedarnath', 'Chhichhore'. His upcoming film 'Dil Bechara' was yet to release.

Delhi LG Anil Baijal and State Disaster Management Authority were also present in the meeting. During the meeting, dignitaries review the situation in Delhi regarding dreadful COVID-19. The cases in Delhi and Maharashtra are rocketing everyday, Delhi has recorded 2,134 active cases and 57 deaths in last 24 hours.

Haridwar (Uttarakhand), June 13 (ANI): Patanjali Ayurved, CEO, Acharya Balkrishna, on June 13 claimed that cure for COVID-19 is possible through Ayurveda, adding that company's clinical trials on positive patients got 100% favourable results. He said, "We appointed a team of scientists after COVID-19 outbreak. Firstly, simulation was done and compounds were identified which can fight the virus. Then, we conducted clinical case study on many positive patients and we've got 100% favourable results." "After taking our medicine, COVID patients recovered in 5-14 days and then tested negative. So, we can say cure for COVID is possible through Ayurveda. We're performing controlled clinical trials only. In next 4-5 days, evidence and data will be released by us," he added.
New Delhi, June 13 (ANI): Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and MP, Sanjay Singh said that need of the hour is to increase number of testing of coronavirus. Singh said, "Need of the hour is to increase number of testing. ICMR guideline for testing should be changed for that. I have written to Union Health Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan for the same, anyone who suspects they are infected should be allowed to go to pathology labs and get tested. More and more pathology labs across the country should be given license and more and more testing kits should be made available to states. It should be known that who is infected and who isn't. Otherwise, we would be sitting on a ball of fire, waiting for an explosion."
New Delhi, Jun 13 (ANI): While speaking on the increment in the number of tests being conducted for COVID-19 in the national capital, Health Minister Satyendar Jain said, "If you want the number of tests conducted for COVID-19 to increase, then ask ICMR (Indian Council of Medical Research) to change its guidelines. We cannot flout ICMR guidelines that state certain conditions which are prerequisite for tests".
Bhopal (MP), Jun 13 (ANI): Madhya Pradesh government revised the price of petrol and diesel in state. With the levying of corona tax of Re 1, price of petrol has increased to Rs 82.64/litre and diesel to Rs 73.14/litre. The revised prices came into effect from 12 am of June 13, 2020. There are 2802 active cases of COVID-19 in Madhya Pradesh and death toll stands at 440.
Dehradun (Uttarakhand), June 13 (ANI): On firing at international border by Nepal Border Police, Army Chief General MM Naravane said that we have very strong relationship with Nepal. He said, "As far as Nepal is concerned, we have a very strong relationship with Nepal. We have geographical, cultural, historical, religious linkages. We have very strong people to people connect. Our relation with them has always been strong and will remain strong in the future." He further spoke on current situation in JandK. He said, "As far as JandK is concerned, we had lots of successes in last 10 days. More than 15 terrorists have been killed. All of this because of very close operation and coordination between all the security forces operating in the Union Territory of JandK. Most of the operations are based on the information provided by the locals themselves which goes to show that they are also absolutely fed up with militancy and terrorism and they want that the situation should return to normal
Dehradun (Uttarakhand), June 13 (ANI): On India-China border issue, Army Chief General MM Naravane said that the situation is under control. He said, "I would like to assure everyone that entire situation along our borders with China is under control. We are having a series of talks which started with Corps Commander level talks and has been followed up with meetings at local level between Commanders of equivalent ranks. As a result, a lot of disengagement has taken place and we are hopeful that through the continued dialogue we're having, all perceived differences that we (India and China) have will be set to rest. Everything is under control." He further said, "Both sides are disengaging in phased manners."
Bandipora (Jammu and Kashmir), June 13 (ANI): A suspected IED (improvised explosive device) was found by security forces in JandK's Bandipora district on June 13. It consists of a small cylinder with timer near a bridge on River Erin in Bandipora. It was found near Popchan Nadhihal on Bandipora-Srinagar road by Army's Road Opening Party (ROP) today. The traffic has been stopped and Joint Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) is on the job. According to the Chinar Corps of Indian Army, the area has been sanitised and suspected IED being neutralised by bomb disposal squad. Further details in this regard are awaited.
Kulgam-Anantnag Border (Jammu and Kashmir), June 13 (ANI): A joint operation was launched by Indian Army and JandK police on intelligence input at Kulgam-Anantnag Border on June 13.Two terrorists of Hizbul Mujahideen were eliminated. 2 pistols with ammunition and 3 grenades recovered from them. Operation is over now. According to Army's record the area comes under Anantnag district and as per Police record it comes under Kulgam district.
Dehradun (Uttarakhand), June 13 (ANI): Around 423 officers joined the Indian Army in passing out parade on June 13. The parade took place at Indian Military Academy (IMA) in Uttarakhand's Dehradun. Indian Army Chief General MM Naravane reviewed the passing out parade of 423 officers. Those officers took part in the parade including 90 Gentleman Cadets (GCs) from nine friendly foreign countries.

Indore (MP), June 13 (ANI): Idol sculptors in Madhya Pradesh are experiencing hardships despite relaxations announced by government during Unlock 1.0. Lack of availability of material to create idols have further increased their troubles. "Period of lockdown was extremely difficult, even now we are not getting the material to make idols," said a sculptor. MHA has ordered phased 'unlocking' of activities outside containment zones. Lockdown was first enforced in March to contain the spread of COVID-19.
