Shiv Sena, Congress and NCP will finalise questionnaire of Census: Nawab Malik

Mumbai (Maharashtra), Feb 22 (ANI): While speaking to ANI in Mumbai on February 22, veteran Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Nawab Malik said, "On February 21, Chief Minister of Maharashtra Uddhav Thackeray met Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Congress chief Sonia Gandhi. CM has clarified that in the meeting with the PM he had demanded that pending amount of GST should be released to the state of Maharashtra." "Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) implementation is not with the state but it is with the Centre. CM assured nobody will have to afraid because of it as there will be no NRC in the state of Maharashtra," he added. "Shiv Sena, Congress, NCP will finalise the questionnaire of Census then will go ahead with the same," Nawab Malik further stated.

Pakistan will continue to stay in grey list for next couple of years: Defence Expert

New Delhi, Feb 22 (ANI): In a major blow to Pakistan, the country will remain on the grey list of Financial Action Task Force (FATF) till June 2020 as it failed to comply with the 27-point action plan to control funding to terrorist groups. While speaking to ANI in the national capital on February 22, the Defence Expert PK Sehgal said, "Despite massive efforts by Pakistan to carry convictions with the number of FATF through propaganda, lobbying as well as through falsification all efforts by Pakistan were failed." "As per my perception, Pakistan will continue to stay in the grey list for the next couple of years," Defence Expert added.

Manish Sisodia visits school to see 'happiness class' in Delhi

New Delhi, Feb 22 (ANI): Delhi Finance Minister Manish Sisodia visited Sarvodaya Kanya Vidyalaya in the national capital on February 22. He visited the school to see a happiness class in Delhi's West Vinod Nagar area. The happiness class is conducted by the Delhi Government in schools. A 45-minute happiness class is organised daily in the government schools of Delhi. It teaches children to be emotionally strong, increasing confidence and happiness in children.

This Amritsar based artist paints portrait of US President Trump

Amritsar (Punjab), Feb 22 (ANI): Amid the preparations of US President Donald Trump visit to India, an artist in Punjab's Amritsar made a beautiful oil-portrait. Artist Jagjot Singh painted a picture of US President on a huge canvas. It took him around 20 days to complete the painting. Beautification process is underway in parts of country ahead of President Trump visit from 24 Feb to 25 Feb.

Covid-19: Italy reports first death from coronavirus

New Delhi, Feb 22 (ANI): Italy on February 22 reported its first death from coronavirus, local media reported. Earlier in the day, health officials in the European country reported 14 new cases of coronavirus, bringing the total number of those infected to 17. Meanwhile, death toll in China jumped to 2239. Coronavirus first originated in the Chinese city of Wuhan and has since then killed thousands, while cases have been reported in several countries across the world, including India.

Google Play Store removes 600 apps over mobile ad fraud

New Delhi, Feb 22 (ANI): Google announced that it took down hundreds of apps from its official Play Store for violating its ads policy. As the official blog notes, nearly 600 apps have been removed from the Google Play Store and banned from ad monetisation platforms, Google AdMob and Google Ad Manager, over mobile ad fraud. These bad apps displayed 'out-of-context' disruptive ads to users in unexpected ways, including impairing the usability of device functions. Google developed a machine-learning based approach to detect when apps show out-of-context ads.

Girl held for flashing 'free Kashmir' placard at protest against pro-Pak slogans

Bengaluru (Karnataka), Feb 21 (ANI): Bengaluru Police on February 21 took a girl into custody for holding 'free Kashmir' and 'free Muslim' placards at a Hindu Jagaran Vedike's protest against pro-Pakistan slogans raised by a girl named Amulya at an anti-CAA rally on February 20. Rao said, "During Hindu Jagaran Vedike's protest against yesterday's incident (where a girl raised 'Pakistan zindabad' slogans), a girl sat among them with placard in Kannada reading Dalit Mukti, Kashmir Mukti and Muslim Mukti. We had to rescue girl as crowd gathered. She has been taken into custody. The name of the woman, who has been taken into custody for holding a banner reading 'Dalit Mukti, Kashmir Mukti and Muslim Mukti' in Kannada language, is Arudra.

Giriraj Singh fires fresh salvo at 'Dalit-Muslim' unity

Madhubani (Bihar), Feb 21 (ANI): Union Minister for Animal Husbandry Giriraj Singh on February 21 said, "People who are raising Dalit-Muslim bhai bhai slogans by taking Ambedkar's name, then they will also atone." He gave the statement by referring a paragraph purportedly from Ambedkar's book, "Islam is like a closed system, which differentiates between Muslims and non-Muslims. It is vague. Brotherhood of Islam is not the brotherhood of humanity. Muslims have bonding only with Muslims, but its benefit is restricted to people of their community. Owaisi's role doesn't figure: Bengaluru police chief on pro-Pak slogans raised by girl in his presence

Bengaluru, Feb 21 (ANI): Bengaluru Police Commissioner Bhaskar Rao on February 21 said the authorities are investigating the role of organisers who conducted an anti-CAA rally in the city on Feb 20 when a girl named Amulya raised pro-Pakistan slogans in presence of AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi, but said the role of latter doesn't figure in the incident since he was an invitee. "Case has been registered against the girl (Amulya) and others. She has been remanded to judicial custody. We are looking at role of organisers. Role of honourable MP (Asaduddin Owaisi) does not figure anywhere as he was also an invitee," Rao told ANI.Amulya had raised 'Pakistan zindabad' slogans on stage during anti-CAA rally in Bengaluru on February 20. Owaisi was also present at the rally, but was seen trying to snatch the mic from the girl.
