Congress, BJP trade charges over ex-Mumbai top cop's book on 26-11 attacks

New Delhi, Feb 19 (ANI): After a book on 26/11 attacks by former Mumbai police commissioner claimed that LeT wanted to project the terrorist attack as 'Hindu terror' narrative, and claimed that Ajmal Kasab carried a fake ID, the BJP and Congress are throwing accusations at each other. BJP leader GVL Narasimha Rao said, "We can see a connection emerging between Congress' idea of Hindu terror and LeT and ISI's 26/11 strategy. Was someone from India helping ISI as handler to give terrorists Hindu identity? Was Digvijaya Singh working as handler? Congress should answer this." While Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury said, "There was a different background when 'Hindu terror' word was coined. Mecca Masjid blast had taken place and Pragya Thakur, others were arrested then. Terrorists always camouflage. They do not carry out attacks with their actual identity. It was the UPA government which revealed everything about the attack. Ajmal Kasab was later hanged during UPA rule."

Will be better if we don't trust Donald Trump much: Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury

New Delhi, Feb 19 (ANI): Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury called US President Donald Trump 'mercurial" and also said that it will be better if India doesn't trust him much. While speaking to ANI, Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury said, 'Donald Trump will probably make more such comments like 'big trade deal with India'. I find him very mercurial. Donald Trump and Narendra Modi are alike. They both want to emerge as strong, powerful political leaders. But if Modi ji wants Trump to go his way, then it will not going to happen because if we look at Trump's presidential journey, he always kept America first. It is Trump's policy. He will force us to buy missiles, etc. He is coming here for his business, not to entertain us. I feel it will be better if we don't trust Donald Trump much."
