New Delhi, Dec 11 (ANI): Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2019 will be tabled in Rajya Sabha on Dec 11. Speaking on it, Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut said, "What is this new definition that those who won't support the Bill are against the country? Can't we express our feelings and thinking in Parliament and even outside of it? Those who are protesting against it in Northeast are also the citizen of India. So, are all of those traitors?" He further said, "We have to clear our doubts on this bill, if we don't get satisfactory answers then our stand could be different from what we took in Lok Sabha."

Mumbai Police arrest 2 men for stealing 168 kg onions

Farmers protest over hike in sugarcane MSP in UP's Lucknow

Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh), Dec 11 (ANI): Farmers staged protest over sugarcane minimum support price in UP's Lucknow. They demanded hike in minimum support price of sugar and also the payment of dues. Farmers showed their anger by burning stubble. They also raised slogans of 'Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan' and 'Bharatiya Kisan Union Zindabad'. The 'Bharatiya Kisan Union' had also announced to carry out protests in different parts of the state to press for their demands.

Delhi continues to choke as pollution remains in 'poor' category

New Delhi, Dec 11 (ANI): A smoggy morning was observed in Delhi on Dec 11. A blanket of smog was seen near India Gate. As per AQI, PM 2.5 and PM 10 were at 264 and 250 respectively at Lodhi Garden which falls under 'poor' category. There is no change in pollution level even after the temperature has been down by several degrees.

Two headed snake found in West Bengal

West Midnapore (West Bengal), Dec 11 (ANI): A two headed snake was found in WB's West Midnapore. It was found in the Ekarukhi village of Belda forest range. The species of snake is identified as 'Naja Kaouthia'. Speaking to ANI on the matter, Zoologist Soma Chakraborty said, "The species of the two-headed snake is 'Naja Kaouthia', which is locally known as 'Keute' or in hindi 'Kala Naag'. The venom of this snake is neurotoxic."

4-year-old daughter killed by stepfather in UP's Prayagraj

Prayagraj (Uttar Pradesh), Dec 11 (ANI): A stepfather allegedly killed his 4-year-old daughter in Uttar Pradesh's Prayagraj on December 10. He killed his daughter after she asked for a balloon from him. While speaking to ANI, the Additional Superintendent of Police (SP) in Prayagraj, Brijesh Kumar Srivastava said, "By the time police reached the spot, the girl was dead and the accused was injured." Baloch, Sindhis hold anti-Pakistan protests to mark Human Rights Day

Busan (South Korea)/ London (UK), Dec 11 (ANI): A large number of Baloch and Sindhis, who are living in exile in various parts of the world, held anti-Pakistan protests on December 10 to mark the Human Rights Day. In London, the Sindhi Baloch Forum organised a demonstration at 10 Downing Street to make the international community aware of deteriorating human rights situation in parts of Pakistan. 2 Iranian nationals arrested for allegedly posing as police officials in Gurugram

Gurugram (Haryana), Dec 11 (ANI): Two Iranian nationals were arrested for allegedly posing as police officials in Haryana's Gurugram. They robbed money from two Turkmenistani nationals in Gurugram. The incident took place outside Fortis Hospital on November 26. They have been arrested from Delhi's Lajpat Nagar area. While speaking to media, the Assistant Commissioner of Police Crime-I (ACP), Preet Pal said, "The victims were here for medical treatment, incident occurred on November 26."

Gmail now lets you send email as an attachment

New Delhi, Dec 11 (ANI): You no longer have to forward multiple emails with Gmail's latest update that lets you send email as an attachment. As the official blog notes, users will be able to attach emails to other emails in Gmail without having to download them first. To insert emails in a new thread, simply drag and drop them into the draft window. You can also insert emails by selecting the emails and then 'Forward as attachment' from the overflow menu. The feature is being rolled out gradually and users will know the availability when they see the forward as attachment option.

There is a very positive response to this unique initiative of traffic police. This initiative is helpful in controlling traffic as well as habitual violators. Study reveals water births are as safe as land births for mom, baby

New Delhi, Dec 11 (ANI): While giving birth to a baby comes with a number of consequences and difficulties for the mother and child, a new study found that water births are no more risky than land births and that women in the water group sustain fewer first and second-degree tears. University of Michigan researchers analyzed 397 waterbirths and 2025 land births from two midwifery practices. There were no differences in outcomes between waterbirth and land birth for neonatal intensive care admissions, and postpartum haemorrhage rates were similar for both groups. The results of the study were published in the journal Birth. Professional organizations tend to agree that women in labour should have access to water for comfort, but not all support birth in the water. Beniwal is one of the two MPs who have demanded a ban on the film, claiming the movie shows Maharaja Surajmal in poor light. UP Police enhances digital surveillance to deal with crimes against women

Lucknow (UP), Dec 10 (ANI): After attending a review meeting on enhancing security for women safety in wake of increasing instances of crimes, Uttar Pradesh's DIG (Law and Order) Vijay Bhushan on December 10 informed about the decisions which were taken in the meeting. He said that to enhance the efficiency of the police against crimes against women, it is being decided that about 300 voice logger, 4 in each district will be installed, anti-romeo squads formed for security of the women. Not only that, the administration is also going to provide 25,000 body-worn camera to traffic management officials and 5,000 mobile tablets and 1,500 desktops will be made available to increase efficiency.
