Unnao (UP), Dec 08 (ANI): Mortal remains of Unnao rape victim is taken for last rites on Dec 08. She passed away while she was undergoing treatment at Delhi's Safdarjung Hospital on December 06. The 23-year-old was airlifted from Lucknow's SMG Government Hospital to Delhi. Unnao rape victim was set ablaze while she was on her way to local court for hearing of the case.

Delhi fire: Case transferred to Crime Branch, informs Police PRO

New Delhi, Dec 08 (ANI): While talking about Delhi fire incident, Delhi Police PRO MS Randhawa said, "43 people are dead and injured are admitted to LNJP and Lady Hardinge hospitals. Prima facie it appears short circuit caused the fire. The plastic materials at the spot caused a lot of smoke. The case has been transferred to Crime Branch and forensics team to arrive at the spot soon".

New Delhi, Dec 08 (ANI): While speaking to ANI on Anaj Mandi fire incident, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said that he has ordered magisterial inquiry. "One injured person has received more than 50% burns, 8 others are admitted to hospital due to smoke inhalation. Around 15 people are injured in the incident we have ordered magisterial inquiry," said Kejriwal.

Delhi fire: 34 people were brought dead to hospital, informs Lok Nayak Hospital's Medical Director

New Delhi, Dec 08 (ANI): While speaking to ANI on fire that broke out in a factory in Delhi's Anaj Mandi on Dec 08, Medical Director of Lok Nayak Hospital Kishore Singh informed that 34 people were brought dead to the hospital. "The condition of those injured is not serious, have been kept under observation. 34 people were brought dead to the hospital. Deaths have been mostly due to smoke inhalation and suffocation," said Medical Director of Lok Nayak Hospital.

Delhi Anaj Mandi fire: Death toll rises to 43

New Delhi, Dec 08 (ANI): As many as 43 people died after fire broke out in a factory in Delhi's Anaj Mandi on Dec 08. At least 30 fire tenders rushed to the spot to douse the flames. The fire had been doused. It is a factory where school bags, bottles and other materials were kept. Rescue operation is still underway. Delhi govt announces compensation of Rs 10 lakh to families

New Delhi, Dec 08 (ANI): Chief Minister of Delhi Arvind Kejriwal visited Delhi's Anaj Mandi where massive fire broke out at factory on December 08. He announced compensation Rs 10 lakh to the families who lost their life in the incident. "It is a very sad incident. I have ordered a magisterial inquiry into it. Compensation of Rs 10 lakh each to be given to families of those dead and Rs 1 lakh each to those injured. The expense of medical treatment of those injured to be borne by the government," said Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal. Forest dept reuses waste plastic bottles to plant, grow saplings in Chhattisgarh's Balrampur

Balrampur (Chhattisgarh), Dec 08 (ANI): As part of the initiative by district forest department, waste plastic bottles are being recycled to plant and grow saplings at Ramanujganj nursery in Chhattisgarh's Balrampur. The women collect bottles from the city and recycle it to plant and grow saplings. The bottles are cut and a sapling is planted by filling it with fertile soil. The initiative was adopted after a ban was imposed on the use of single-use plastics.

Google ends support for Explorer Edition of Glass

New Delhi, Dec 08 (ANI): Google has announced that it will end support for the Explorer Edition its augmented reality Glass device. As Engaged notes, Google will roll out one more update before ending its support for the Explorer version. However, it will continue supporting the Enterprise Edition. Users will be required to manually download, unzip, and install the file for the latest and final update which will remain available only until February 25, 2022.
