Rape accused don't deserve to live: Daisy Shah

Mumbai, Dec 08 (ANI): The four men accused of raping and murdering a woman near Telangana's Hyderabad were shot dead by the police on December 06. Cops claimed that it was an encounter that followed after the four men tried escaping. While speaking to media in Mumbai on December 07, Bollywood actress Daisy Shah said, "It's a thumbs up from me and I think it is necessary that such kind of things (encounter) should happen. On one side, we talk about women empowerment but we are doing nothing for that. I think action speaks louder than words. It is above time and this is the awakening situation and how many more such incidents you want to listen. I don't think that they deserve to live.

Kangaroo courts, encounters can't be standard procedure for justice: Meghalaya Governor

Kolkata (WB), Dec 07 (ANI): Meghalaya Governor Tathagata Roy reacted on Hyderabad encounter in which veterinary doctor's rape and murder accused were shot dead by police, when they tried to escape. He said that kangaroo courts and encounters cannot be the standard operating procedure in dispensing criminal justice. "People should be arrested then they should be taken before the court, chargesheeted, ultimately court will handout them punishment to them which is to be carried out," said Roy.

NMCG organizes the '4th India Water Impact Summit 2019' in New Delhi

Priyanka Gandhi slams CM Yogi, says UP no place for women
