Security forces recover IED on Sopore-Kupwara highway in JandK

Baramulla (Jammu and Kashmir), Dec 07 (ANI): An Improvised Explosive Device (IED) was recovered by security forces on the Sopore-Kupwara highway, near Sagipora village in Baramulla district in Jammu and Kashmir. Security forces later defused the IED.

New Delhi, Dec 07 (ANI): Speaking to ANI, BJP leader, Gautam Gambhir on Unnao rape victim's death stated that all of us as a nation failed. "Today I feel ashamed; I have always felt proud of my own self as an Indian because we were not able to save the girl. I think all of us should take this responsibility. All of us as Indians should take this responsibility, we failed again, we failed as a nation," said Gambhir. "We should never politicize rape issues; this is matter of someone's life. I think we as a nation should stand up for all the girls. Women security is very important," he further added.

Priyanka Gandhi slams CM Yogi, says UP no place for women

Unnao (UP), Dec 07 (ANI): Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra in Unnao said that while Chief Minister says there's no place for criminals in state, but the state has turned into such a place that there's no place for women in the state. "Chief Minister is saying there is no place for criminals in the state but what he has turned the state into, I think there is no place for women here," said Priyanka Gandhi "Victim's whole family has been constantly harassed since last year. I have heard that the culprits have some BJP connection. That is why they were being shielded. There is no fear among criminals in the state," she further added. She met family members of rape survivor, who died last night after she was set ablaze by accused.

New Delhi, Dec 07 (ANI): Locals staged protest outside Safdarjung Hospital in the national capital on December 07. They protested against the Unnao rape case. Protestors demanded immediate action against the culprits. The victim was burnt alive on December 05 by one of the accused. She was admitted to a hospital in Lucknow and was later referred to Delhi's Safdarjung Hospital. She died on the night of December 06.
