NCP, Congress had pre-poll alliance, final decision will be collective: Kharge

New Delhi, Nov 12 (ANI): Senior Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge on Tuesday said that the NCP and Congress had pre-poll alliance and final decision will be a collective decision of forming the government in Maharashtra. He also said, "Our talks with NCP are on, and we will only move forward once discussions with them are done." Kharge and Ahmed Patel will meet NCP leaders in Mumbai on November12.

Sharad Pawar, Uddhav Thackeray visit Lilavati Hospital to meet Sanjay Raut

Mumbai, Nov 12 (ANI): Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) Chief Sharad Pawar on November 12 arrived at Lilavati Hospital to meet Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut. Raut was admitted to hospital on November 11 after he complained of chest pain. Raut's brother, Sunil Raut said that that he was admitted after the complaint of chest pain and now he is there as a part of routine check-up. Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray also visited the hospital to meet party leader.

1000 birds die mysteriously in Rajasthan

Dudu (Rajasthan), Nov 12 (ANI): Around 1000 birds including of migratory species found dead around Jaipur's Sambhar Lake. Carcasses were found at Sambhar Lake which is India's largest inland salt lake. It is a recognized wetland of international importance, and hosts thousands of migratory birds during winters. Officials are yet to ascertain the cause of the deaths.

One terrorist killed in encounter with security forces in J-K's Ganderbal

Ganderbal (J-K), Nov 12 (ANI): One terrorist was killed in an encounter that broke out between terrorists and security forces in Jammu and Kashmir's Ganderbal on Nov 12. The encounter happened in Gund area of Ganderbal. Arms and ammunition were recovered from terrorist's possession. It comes after two terrorists, linked to Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), were neutralised in an encounter with security forces in Bandipora on Nov 11.

Convict in Rajiv Gandhi assassination case walks out of prison on parole

Vellore (Tamil Nadu), Nov 12 (ANI): Rajiv Gandhi assassination case convict AG Perarivalan was released on parole from Vellore Central Prison on Nov 12. He is released for 30 days from the prison due to his father's poor health. This is the second time Perarivalan is out of the prison. Last time, he was released on his mother's request in 2017. In May 1991, former prime minister of India Rajiv Gandhi was assassinated by a Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) suicide bomber during an election rally in Sriperumbudur in Tamil Nadu. The attack also left 14 other people dead.

Smog canopies Delhi, air quality remains 'Hazardous'

New Delhi, Nov 12 (ANI): A layer of thick smog blankets the national capital on November 12. There is no respite for people as air quality remains 'Hazardous'. According to Air Quality Index (AQI), major pollutants in Delhi's Lodhi Road, PM 2.5 stood at 456, which means 'severe' and PM 10 at 287, which means 'poor'.
