Kolkata, 01 Aug (ANI): West Bengal Minister and President of Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind West Bengal Unit Siddiqullah Chowdhury opposed to recently passed Triple Talaq Bill in Rajya Sabha. "It is a matter of grief; it is an attack on Islam. We will not accept it. When there will be central committee meeting, we'll decide on further course of action," said Siddiqullah Chowdhury. The Indian parliament has approved a bill (Women Protection of Rights on Marriage 2019) to end the Muslim practice of instant triple talaq or divorce two years after the Supreme Court said it violated the constitutional rights of Muslim women.
Amravati (MH), 01 Aug (ANI): Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said on Thursday that Devendra Fadnavis will be the Chief Minister of Maharashtra again. While addressing a public meeting in 'Maha Janadesh Yatra' in Maharashtra's Amravati, Bharatiya Janata Party's senior leader Rajnath Singh said, "Somebody was saying we have to win more than 200 seats this time around, but if BJP-Shiv Sena contest together then we should aim to win more than 250 seats and Devendra Fadnavis will be the Chief Minister again," Maharashtra will be facing assembly elections in coming months.
Darbhanga (Bihar), Aug 1 (ANI): Life has come to standstill in Hayaghat block in Bihar's Darbhanga due to incessant rain and floods. Several houses are submerged in water. Currently, boats are the primary mode of transport in the village. Over 134 people have lost their lives as floods wreaked havoc in multiple districts of Bihar. Around 1.25 lakh people have been evacuated from the flood-affected areas in the state so far. In total, 1,243 villages in the state are reeling under the calamity.

Baramulla (J-K), 01 Aug (ANI): Jammu and Kashmir's Governor Satya Pal Malik said on Thursday that they are giving 'suitable' reply to ceasefire violations by Pakistan. Satya Pal Malik was in Baramulla to inaugurate a Government Medical College. On being asked about people of Jammu and Kashmir's suffering because of ceasefire violations, Satya Pal Malik said, "We are giving them three times the number of problems they are giving to us." "They (Pakistan) will stop the violations within two to three days." he further added. Earlier on Tuesday, Pakistan violated ceasefire in Rajouri and Kupwara districts.

He informed that today the doctors have given one trial of removing her from the ventilator and tomorrow they will also try once again. Tiwari also gave information about airlifting her to AIIMS and said that the hospital has no information about it but if the hospital gets orders about the same and it will act accordingly. The "Happiness Curriculum" launched by the Delhi government focuses on holistic education by including meditation, value education and mental exercises in conventional education curriculum. It has been introduced for the students of Nursery to Class 8 in government schools. Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi proposed on Wednesday the idea of introducing happiness classes across judicial academies in the country on the lines of the curriculum introduced by the Delhi government in its schools.

Victim's father has claimed that the girl was disturbed because of a boy from her locality, who was bothering her since last few months and a complaint was also given in this regard in past. While speaking to ANI, ADSP of Gonda, Mahendra Kumar said, "A girl has committed suicide by hanging herself inside her house. The post-mortem is being conducted. Her family has lodged a complaint.
