The employees were brought to the factories by buses. An employee informed that the company has permission to start work with 3,000 employees. Thermal scanning was done at the entrance as precautionary measures to contain the spread of COVID-19.

About 700 Indians will be arriving by INS Jalashwa on May 10. Citizens are currently enoute India onboard the ship. Today Constable Praveen was discharged from the Apollo Hospital after being tested negative twice in a row. He received a grand welcome by his colleagues at police station.
Bengaluru, May 09 (ANI): Karnataka Government has allowed restaurants, pubs and bars to sell liquor at retail prices amid lockdown 3.0. Only takeaway is allowed. Bar owners welcomed this move. "We welcome this move, our shop was closed since last two months amd we were suffering losses," said a bar owner in Bengaluru. Shops selling liquor opened after relaxations were announced in third stage of COVID-19 lockdown.
New Delhi, May 09 (ANI): Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury on Saturday appealed West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee-led government and Home Minister Amit Shah to work together and make every possible effort to bring back stranded migrant workers of Bengal. Aligarh (UP), May 09 (ANI): Some teachers got confused and mistakenly opened schools at some places in Aligarh, informed District Basic Education Officer. "Clear directions have been given to the concerned officials to not allow any schools to open," said Basic Education Officer Lakshmikant Pandey.

During the meeting, Minister Vardhan said that whole has been prepared for the worst situation. He said, "We do not anticipate a very worst type of situation in our country like many other developed countries but still we have prepared the whole country for the worst situation." "Our fatality rate in the country continues to be around 3.3% and the recovery rate has climbed up to 29.9%, these are very good indicators. Doubling rate for last 3 days has been about 11 days, for last 7 days it has been 9.9 days," he further added. The total number of COVID-19 cases in India has risen to 59,662 as of May 9.

Rajouri (J and K), May 09 (ANI): Road construction work has resumed in areas under Rajouri Public Works Department (PWD) amid third phase COVID-19 lockdown. A PWD official said, "Resumption of road construction work has again provided employment to migrant labourers". Certain economic activities have been allowed including construction work in lockdown 3.0.
Dehradun (Uttarakhand), May 09 (ANI): Dehradun administration has come with up technological savvy ways to keep a check on those in home quarantine to prevent spread of COVID-19. The administration is using GPS tracking application. Once downloaded into mobile phone of quarantined person, the app sends alerts to Dehradun's command and control centre. Alerts are generated if there is no activity on the mobile phone for 30 minutes, so that COVID-19 patient cannot roam outside market putting phone at home.
New Delhi, May 09 (ANI): A migrant labourer in Delhi bought cycle to travel to home district in Bihar amid lockdown 3.0. "I was facing problem after the company I was working for was shut, so I decided to go home. I asked people from my home to deposit money, I got Rs 4,000 of which I bought cycle worth Rs 3,500 to travel to Bihar," said a migrant labourer. Group of migrants from his home state also joined him on cycles.
Moradabad (UP), May 09 (ANI): Railway staffers have come together at Moradabad railway station to prepare food at Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) kitchen for the migrant labourers arriving from the special trains. Indian Railways on May 1 started Shramik Special trains to move migrant workers, pilgrims, tourists, students and others stranded at different places due to lockdown.
