Ambala (Haryana), Apr 28 (ANI): A clash broke out between police and locals in Haryana's Ambala on April 27. Body of an elderly woman, possibly infected with COVID-19, was brought to the designated cremation ground in Chandpura. "Locals attacked on the team of doctor and police. We will take suitable action in the matter," a police official said.
Surat (Gujarat), Apr 28 (ANI): In wake COVID-19 pandemic, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Harsh Sanghavi joined a campaign to provide food to senior citizens at their doorstep in Gujarat's Surat. The kitchen is specially made to provide better quality food to senior citizens. The food packets contains sabji, roti, rice, daal and milk bottle as well so that the senior citizens do not have to go out to fetch milk. "Starting from 250 senior citizens daily in the initial lockdown days, this number has now reached to more than 1300 senior citizens. The food is delivered door to door to the senior citizens," said Sanghavi.
Kanpur (UP), Apr 28 (ANI): COVID-19 test of police personnel had been conducted at Chakeri Police Station in Kanpur city. The test was conducted after some policemen have been found positive of the dreadful virus. According to Kanpur CMO Ashok Shukla, three police personnel have been found COVID-19 positive. Reports have also been coming from Maharashtra that several policemen got infected with COVID-19.
Surat (Gujarat), Apr 28 (ANI): Artists hailing from Surat's Varachha area have made a painting on road to motivate and spread awareness among the society members. The painting showcases that coronavirus is entering in a society and wearing masks and gloves can stop it from entering in the society. The painting gives the message to stay at home, wear masks and gloves. The painting depicts that the virus could not enter their society as all the people were staying at home and wearing masks and gloves while going out. Gujarat has 3301 confirmed cases and recorded 151 deaths till now.
New Delhi, Apr 28 (ANI): Amid coronavirus lockdown imposed across the nation, people were seen buying essentials in Delhi's Okhla vegetable market on April 28. People were seen covering their face during the purchase of essentials items. According to the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW), Delhi has 3108 cases, including 877 cured or discharged and 54 deaths so far.
Kulgam (J and K), Apr 27(ANI): Four children were among six persons injured in a blast near encounter site at lower Munda in Kulgam district on April 27. After forces sanitized the area, some explosives had been left unnoticed which these persons fiddled with, leading to the blast.
Jharkhand (Ranchi), Apr 27 (ANI): Chief Minister of Jharkhand, Hemant Soren said that Central guidelines on the opening of shops will not be implemented in the state in view of rise in COVID-19 cases. In a media brief, he said, "Government of India has imposed lockdown due to coronavirus till May 03 and we all have been instructed to take legal action against those who will not follow the orders. We have decided not to implement the Central guidelines on the opening of shops, due to the rise in COVID-19 cases in Jharkhand. No shops will open in any areas of the state until May 03. However, shops that were earlier allowed to open will remain functional."
Jharkhand (Ranchi), Apr 27 (ANI): Chief Minister of Jharkhand, Hemant Soren said that CRPF will be deployed in Hindpiri area as locals have started to move from one place to another amid coronavirus lockdown. He said, "A link is seen between new COVID-19 cases with Ranchi's Hindpiri (which has been declared containment zone). People of Hindpiri are going to other places. This has to stop. I appeal to people of Hindipiri to stay wherever they are as of now. Now, CRPF will be deployed in Hindpiri. All borders with Ranchi will be sealed."
New Delhi, Apr 27 (ANI): During a press conference held in Delhi, Convener of Empowered Group 5, Parameswaran Iyer said that Railways has done a tremendous job in movement of food and pharma during COVID-19 lockdown. He said, "Moving food and pharma is an important indicator of mobility. There is a significant improvement in movement of food and pharma, which are two of the most essential items. Railways has done a tremendous job also. If you look at the movement of rakes, you will see it has gone up from 67% on March 30 to 76% as on April 25."
New Delhi, Apr 27 (ANI): During a press conference held in Delhi, Joint Secretary of Health Ministry, Lav Agarwal assured that there are sufficient amount of kits as far as RT PCR test is concerned. He said, "At the level of ICMR, we have sufficient amount of kits as far as RT PCR test is concerned. Not only sufficient amount of kits are available but we have also parallelly ensured geographical adequacy. RT PCR test is the goal standard test for identification of positive patient. We also have increased number of labs in the country."

Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh), Apr 27 (ANI): During a press conference held in Lucknow on April 27, Uttar Pradesh's Additional Chief Secretary (Home) Awanish K Awasthi informed that UP CM has ordered to make necessary arrangements to send students preparing for competitive exams to their homes in Prayagraj. He said, "Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has ordered for making necessary arrangements to send students preparing for competitive exams in Prayagraj to their homes in 300 UPSRTC buses. The students will be sent in these buses in two rounds. In the first round, students will sent to their homes in Sonbhadra, Mirzapur, Chandauli, Varanasi, Jaunpur, Pratapgarh, Kaushambi, Fatehpur and Chitrakoot. Students from other districts will be sent in the second round."

New Delhi, Apr 27(ANI): Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain reacted on Haryana Minister Anil Vij's remark that 'many who work in Delhi and stay in Haryana, are Corona-carriers' and said that it is not right to say so. "Many people in Delhi work in areas along the border of the national capital and vice versa. They will have to commute," said Delhi Health Minister.
New Delhi, Apr 27 (ANI): During a press conference held in Delhi, Joint Secretary of Health Ministry, Lav Agarwal informed that 1396 new positive cases have been reported in last 24 hrs and also 16 districts in the country which earlier had cases, have not reported any fresh cases since last 28 days. He said, "1396 new positive cases have been reported in last 24 hrs and it takes our total confirmed cases to 27,892. 20,835 people are under active medical supervision. 381 patients are found cured in past 1 day. Total number of cured people becomes 6,184. Recovery rate 22.17%. 16 districts in the country which earlier had cases have not reported any fresh cases since last 28 days. Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh), Apr 27 (ANI): During a press conference held in Lucknow on April 27, Uttar Pradesh's Additional Chief Secretary (Home) Awanish K Awasthi informed that UP CM ordered to train teachers regarding COVID-19 in order to make them 'corona warriors'. He said, "Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath has ordered that training be imparted to teachers regarding COVID-19 in order to make them 'corona warriors'. If necessary, an app will also be developed for the teachers. Master trainers will be deployed in each district to train the teachers."
New Delhi, Apr 27 (ANI): During a press conference held in Delhi, Joint Secretary of Health Ministry, Lav Agarwal said that there is no risk of transmission of coronavirus from recovered patients and they can be a potential source of healing for antibodies using plasma therapy. He said, "We should avoid spreading misinformation and panic. No community or area should be labelled for COVID-19 spread. In particular, healthcare and sanitary workers or police should not be targeted as they are there to help you. Stigma should be addressed through an intensive campaign. We have to understand that there is no risk of transmission from recovered patients. They, in fact, can be a potential source of healing for antibodies using plasma therapy."
Ranchi (Jharkhand), Apr 27 (ANI): Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren on April 27 attended an all state meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi via video conference over COVID-19 situation. During the meeting issues like curbing the spread of COVID-19 was discussed as nationwide lockdown is going to end on May 03. The Chief Minister had put up issues of his state in front of PM Modi. Considering the lockdown which is extended till May 03, the Jharkhand government under the leadership of CM Soren is providing food to the poor people of the state. CM Soren is personally looking that nobody will sleep empty stomach during the lockdown. Jharkhand has recorded 82 confirmed cases and three deaths due to COVID-19 till now.
