262 people arriving today from Rome, will be quarantined: Govt

New Delhi, Mar 21 (ANI): Joint Secretary of Health Ministry, Lav Agarwal on March 21 informed that 262 people, mostly students will arrive in India from Rome and will be kept in quarantine facility. He said, "1600 Indians and people from other countries were kept in quarantine centres in India. Today 262 people from Rome, mostly students will come and they will be kept in quarantine centres."

New Delhi, Mar 21(ANI): BJP leader Jyotiraditya Scindia March 21 met the rebel Madhya Pradesh Congress MLAs at a hotel in Delhi. These are the 16 MLAs who resigned from Congress, and the party accused BJP of holding them captive. Following their resignations, Kamal Nath resigned from the Chief Minister post on March 20 ahead of the floor test in state assembly mandated by the Supreme Court.

Kejriwal announces hike in ration, pension to mitigate coronavirus effects

New Delhi, Mar 21 (ANI): Amid the coronavirus scare, Chief Minister of Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal announced welfare schemes focusing low income groups and daily wage labourers. Delhi government said it will provide free ration to over 72 Lakh people who are dependent on its ration scheme. Moreover, Delhi government is also doubling widow, old age, 'Divyang' pensions for the month of April. The government will also provide food in night shelters free of cost."Daily wage labourers are losing their livelihood due to coronavirus. We've decided to provide free ration to over 72 Lakh people who are dependent on Delhi government's ration scheme. Each person will now get 7.5kg ration instead of 5kg that they usually get," said CM Kejriwal.

Five or more people cannot gather in Delhi: CM Kejriwal

New Delhi, Mar 21 (ANI): Amid coronavirus outbreak, Delhi Chief Minister announced that five or more people will not be allowed to gather at any place in Delhi. "If there are five people, they should maintain at least one meter distance from each other," said CM Kejriwal. While speaking exclusively to ANI, the Chief Minister of Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal said, "50 percent buses in the capital will not function tomorrow (March 22) due to 'Janta Curfew'. Positive coronavirus cases have surpassed 30 in national capital.

COVID-19: 'Avoid religious gatherings and ceremonies', advises JandK Grand Mufti

Srinagar (JandK), Mar 21 (ANI): Grand Mufti of Jammu and Kashmir Mufti Nasir-ul-Islam advised people in Jammu and Kashmir to avoid religious gatherings and ceremonies, including weddings amid coronavirus. Delhi govt turns hotel into quarantine centre for foreign tourists

New Delhi, Mar 21 (ANI): Government of Delhi turned a hotel into quarantine centre for the people who came in national capital from foreign countries. Health Minister of Delhi, Satyendar Jain said, "They have come here from different countries where there have been reports of positive cases of coronavirus, as a prevention measures they will be living here until the next orders. Doctors are providing awareness videos to everyone." Coronavirus cases have crossed 30 in national capital.

Centre approves inclusion of 12,500 health centres in National AYUSH Mission

New Delhi, Mar 21 (ANI): Union Cabinet approved inclusion of AYUSH Health and Wellness Centres component of Ayushman Bharat in National AYUSH Mission. Information and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar said, "The health centre will give training for Yoga and other healthy practices. The centre will also have variety of medical equipments. The project costing 3,400 crore will provide 12,500 health centres in coming years." The move will reduce burden on secondary and tertiary health care facilities.

'Janta curfew': Metro, bus services in UP to remain closed on Mar 22

COVID-19: CM Yogi announces compensation for daily wage, construction workers

Lucknow (UP), Mar 21 (ANI): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath briefed on COVID-19 outbreak informing that 23 people were found to be infected and nine people have been recovered. "A total of 23 people have been found to be infected with coronavirus in the state. Out of the total cases, nine people have recovered. We have sufficient number of isolation wards in the state. Rs 1000 each will be given 15 lakh daily wage labourers and 20.37 lakh construction workers to help them meet their daily needs," said CM Adityanath.
