Nellore (Maharashtra), Feb 07 (ANI): A van driver was beaten up by mob allegedly after he tried to sexually assault a minor girl. Locals caught the driver when he was trying to make sexual advances. The incident took place in Maharashtra's Nellore town. Agitated mob also set the school van on fire. The police reached on the spot. The driver is detained and investigation is on.

Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh), Feb 06 (ANI): Army Chief General Manoj Mukund Naravane on February 06 informed that his troops will get indigenously made Sharang artillery guns on February 07. "The Sharang artillery gun would be inducted into the Indian Army tomorrow. 155 mm Sharang is an upgraded version of the 130 mm M-46 field guns," said Army Chief General MM Naravane while speaking to ANI in Lucknow.

Mumbai, Feb 06 (ANI): Reserve Bank of India (RBI) announced that repo rate remained unchanged at 5.15% and maintained accommodative stance. In a press conference, Governor of RBI, Shaktikanta Das said, "The repo rate remains unchanged at 5.15% and maintains accommodative stance. So, there is continuity but it should not be read as the pointer for future action of the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC). MPC will be guided by the evolving situation and take whatever steps are required at the appropriate time in the most opportune manner to optimize the impact of various monetary policy actions."

Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh), Feb 06 (ANI): Senior lawyer Zafaryab Jilani said that the offer of 5 acres of land for mosque in Ayodhya is wrong and illegal. While speaking to ANI, Jilani said, "All the Muslim organizations have cleared it way before that they won't take any land in exchange of Masjid. We had already put the review petition in the Supreme Court that was rejected. It is against the Supreme Court's 1994 judgment and Ayodhya Acquisition Act. The offer of 5 acres land for mosque in Ayodhya is also against Ayodhya Acquisition Act. We have decided to not take the land. This offer is wrong and illegal."

Azamgarh (Uttar Pradesh), Feb 06 (ANI): Uttar Pradesh Police arrested 19 people for allegedly pelting stones at police during an anti-CAA protest in Azamgarh. Azamgarh's Superintendent of Police, Triveni Singh said, "Section 144 is in force in the district. Some women and children had gathered to protest; when police tried to disperse them, some rowdies pelted stones at police." A social media team is also monitoring the agitators who spread rumours against the new citizenship law, Singh added.
Patna (Bihar), Feb 06 (ANI): The mortal remains of slain Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawan Ramesh Ranjan, who lost his life in Lawaypora encounter, were brought to the Patna Airport. Security forces paid homage to the slain CRPF jawan. Two terrorists were killed and a CRPF jawan died in a gun-battle in Lawaypora area of Srinagar in Jammu and Kashmir on February 05.
