'e-yAna' taxi service introduced in Hyderabad to reduce carbon footprints

Hyderabad, Dec 12 (ANI): In a bid to combat pollution in the city, electric autos and bikes service 'e-yAna' has been introduced in Hyderabad. It is a True Green First Exclusive Fleet Service of Hyderabad city launched to reduce the carbon footprint. While speaking to ANI, the Managing Director (MD) of e-yAna, Sandeep said, "Prior to coming into the e-mobility sector, we were serving the solar industry for the last 10 years. Our team majorly focuses on bringing innovations in the new technology. As part of our new innovation, we have done a detailed study in the e-mobility sector." "We operate and own e-autos as well as e-bikes and we are trying to generate employment opportunities as the drivers will be working with us as our partners. The customers are charged on per ride or per kilometres basis depending on the market scenario," he added. "People are really looking forward to such initiatives through an app-based platform. Parliament has right to undo Court's verdicts: RS Prasad

CAB will be challenged in SC if passed in Rajya Sabha: P Chidambaram

New Delhi, Dec 11 (ANI): Senior Congress leader P Chidambaram said that if Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2019 is passed in Parliament's upper house, it will be challenged in the Supreme Court. Speaking to ANI, Chidambaram said, "It's a sad day that elected Parliamentarians are being asked to do something unconstitutional. If the executive is complicit, and the parliament collaborate with executive and does something completely unconstitutional, the game will shift to the judiciary. I am absolutely certain that the judges of Supreme Court will strike it down." Earlier the Congress leader said in Rajya Sabha that the central government is ramming through CAB to advance its Hindutva agenda.

Schoolchildren dressed up as Santa Claus to celebrate Christmas in Chennai

Religious minorities declined by 20% in Pakistan, Bangladesh: HM Shah in Rajya Sabha

New Delhi, Dec 11 (ANI): Home Minister Amit Shah in Rajya Sabha said, "There has been an almost 20% decline in population of religious minorities in both Pakistan and present day Bangladesh. Either they were killed or they fled to India for shelter." He was speaking on Citizenship (Amendment) Bill 2019. The CAB 2019, which seeks to give citizenship to Non-Muslim immigrants from Afghanistan, Pakistan and Bangladesh, was passed in Lok Sabha and it has been tabled in Rajya Sabha today.

Protest in Guwahati intensifies against CAB

Guwahati (Assam), Dec 11 (ANI): Guwahati witnessed a massive protest over the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill on December 11. Protestors raised slogans against the Bill and held placards. To disperse the protestors, police used tear gas and also detained several of them. Citizenship (Amendment) Bill seeks to give citizenship to non-Muslim immigrants who were persecuted in Pakistan, Afghanistan and Bangladesh. CAB has been tabled in Rajya Sabha today.
