Amritsar (Punjab), Oct 31 (ANI): Group of Sikh devotees from India, a part of Nagar Kirtan that started off from Delhi to Nankana Sahib in Pakistan reached Punjab's Amritsar. The Nagar Kirtan is led by Paramjit Singh Sarna, former president of DSGMC. The procession will be welcomed by Pakistan on the special occasion of 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev.
Amritsar (Punjab), Oct 31 (ANI): Air India is set to connect Amritsar in Punjab with London Stansted Airport with a thrice-a-week service from October 31 to mark the 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev. Commencing from Mumbai, the flight will connect Ram Das Jee International Airport in Amritsar to Stansted Airport in London to facilitate Sikh pilgrims aspiring to visit Punjab on the occasion of Guru Purab. Former cricketer Harbhajan Singh also attended the launch ceremony.
New Delhi, Oct 31 (ANI): Indians are the least active and second-most sleep deprived according to a study conducted by fitness device maker Fitbit. Based on Fitbit sleep data insights from across 18 countries, Indians have an average nightly sleep of 7 hours 1 minute, after Japanese who get an average sleep of 6 hours 47 minutes. Indians are also the least active with a walking average of just 6533 steps daily, the official release notes. The most active country is Hong Kong with an average of 10133 steps daily while Ireland ranks last in the list of sleep deprivation with people sleeping an average of 7 hours and 57 minutes.
Mumbai, Oct 30 (ANI): Few time back, Congress said that they haven't received any proposal from Shiv Sena and if they get one, Congress will definitely reciprocate to it. Speaking on it, Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut said, "Be it Congress or NCP, they will keep on talking like this till the government is formed. They will keep blowing these kinds of things in the air. We should understand these kinds of things in politics. But even today, the alliance of BJP and Shiv Sena is going on. We believe that what was decided was about the alliance or the sharing of power, as CM said that 'Mahayuti' will form the government. We even want that 'Mahayuti' should form the government. And it will be made the way it was decided. " Raut further said on 'forming the Maharashtra government. He said, "Maharashtra ki kundali to hum hi banayenge. Kundali mein kaunsa greh kahan rakhna hai aur kaunse taare zameen pe utaarne hain, kis taare ko chamak dena hai, itni taakat aaj bhi Shiv Sena ke paas hai."
Fatehabad (Haryana), Oct 30 (ANI): Despite Haryana government's ban, the incidents of stubble burning has come in the light in many parts of the state. Over 115 cases of stubble burning have been reported so far. An FIR has also been filed against the defaulters. While speaking to media person, Agriculture Department Official said, "Applications have been filed at concerned police stations to register cases against around 115 farmers."

The delegation of European Union MPs visited Kashmir to assess the situation in the state. After visiting the state, they backed Centre's move on Article 370.

New Delhi, Oct 30 (ANI): In the latest development in INX Media money laundering case, Congress senior leader P. Chidambaram has been sent to judicial custody till November 13. The court has also rejected Enforcement Directorate's (ED) application, seeking Chidambaram's remand for one more day. Recently, Chidambaram moved Delhi High Court seeking an interim bail till November 04 on medical ground. Chidambaram is currently lodged in Tihar Jail in connection with the INX Media money laundering case. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and the Enforcement Directorate (ED) have been probing his role in the case.

Delhi pollution levels have gone worse after Diwali festival. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has appealed 'with folded hands' to the Haryana and Punjab governments to put an end to stubble burning, as a blanket of haze settled over Delhi and its neighbouring areas. Due to stubble burning, blanket of haze in the national capital has become a norm every winter. Despite a ban on stubble burning, farmers of Punjab continue to defy it due to a lack of financial incentives.

New Delhi, Oct 30 (ANI): India Meteorological Department Scientist D Kuldeep Srivastava on October 30 said that the national capital's air quality can improve as the wind will take away the pollution with it. "Wind speed can go up to 10-12 km/hr tomorrow, so air quality is likely to improve. Wind will pick up speed on November 02 and 03 and improve the air quality so dispersion of pollutants from Delhi-NCR will begin," said Srivastava.
