Watch: Security guard beaten up by 4 people over parking dispute in Delhi

New Delhi, Oct 10 (ANI): A security guard was beaten up by four persons in a hospital premises after he allegedly asked for a parking slip from them. The incident took place in Delhi on October 09. The guard has been admitted at the hospital. The Delhi police arrested all the four accused. More details are still awaited.

No response from state machinery on Murshidabad triple murder: WB Governor

Kolkata, Oct 10 (ANI): A teacher, his wife, and their eight-year-old son were brutally murdered in Murshidabad district of West Bengal on October 10. Speaking on the matter, West Bengal Governor, Jagdeep Dhankhar said, "There has been no response from state machinery so far, this is a serious reflection on the situation in which we are living. I have spoken to the authorities and sought an update." "I would urge the authorities to engage in honest, quick investigation in the matter," he added.

Preparations in full swing ahead of summit between PM Modi, President Xi in Mamallapuram

Mamallapuram (Tamil Nadu), Oct 10 (ANI): Preparations are underway in Tamil Nadu's Mamallapuram ahead of the arrival of Chinese President Xi Jinping. The Chinese President will visit Chennai from October 11-12 for the second Informal Summit with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Several CCTVs have been installed to enhance security in the tourist town. Mamallapuram is famous for its pristine beaches and ancient temples. PM Modi invited him for the second informal summit. 'RSS' worker family murder: Baijayant Panda demands strict action against perpetrator

New Delhi, Oct 10 (ANI): BJP's vice president and spokesperson, Baijayant Panda reacted on recent brutal murder of a man who is claimed to be a RSS member, his wife and 8-year-old child in West Bengal's Murshidabad. "This is a most shocking brutality that has come to light, I was tormented on seen this pictures today. Young family including the mother, father and a young boy gruesomely killed just because of their belief and support to an organization, strict action must be taken on the perpetrator," said Baijaynat Panda. They were found dead at their residence on Wednesday (October 09) in West Bengal's Murshidabad.

Nawazuddin's 'Roam Rome Mein' to be screened at Rome Film Festival

New Delhi, Oct 10 (ANI): Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Tannishtha Chatterjee starrer 'Roam Rome Mein' has been selected for screening at the Rome Film Festival. The upcoming psychological-drama will have its pre-opening screening at Casa del cinema in the Italian capital city at the film festival, which begins on October 17. The film has been written and helmed by Tannishtha herself who is also making her directorial debut. Nawaz's next also stars Valentina Corti, Isha Talwar, and Francesco Apolloni. The film has been extensively shot in Rajasthan.

Delhi Police busts gang of organised pickpockets

New Delhi, Oct 11 (ANI): Delhi Police busted a fully organised gang of pickpockets who used to pickpocket mobile phones from moving Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) bus. Police have apprehended four members of the gang including the mastermind Binod alias Balli. 108 mobile phones and two country made pistols have also seized from the accused persons. Three members of the gang used to board the bus routing Badarpur and pickpocket mobile phones from the people while one member of the gang drives auto with the bus to give the three members a cover.

Hyderabad /Delhi, Oct 10 (ANI): Amid the festival and wedding season, people are bearing brunt of soaring prices of vegetables. Common people are suffering the most due to surge. Almost all the vegetables have got significantly costly in parts of country. "I sold tomatoes at Rs 8-10 per kg about 15 days ago, now I am selling tomatoes at Rs 60 per kilogram. Onion prices have also risen from Rs 15-18 to Rs 60 per kilogram. Prices have been mainly affected due to heavy rains," a vegetable seller from Hyderabad said.

CM Gehlot directs for regular progress review of budget announcements

Jaipur (Rajasthan), October 10 (ANI): A review meeting on implementation of amended budget 2019-20 was recently organized at Chief Minister's office in the chairmanship of Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot in Jaipur. In the meeting, Chief Minister said that the aspirations of the people and timely implementation of budget announcements should be ensured as per their expectations. Officers should solemnly speed up the work on budget announcements made. He also instructed the Chief Secretary to regularly review the progress of budget announcements at his level. CM said that the amended budget was passed at the end of July which left less time for their implementation. PMC Bank crisis: Finance Ministry, RBI to study issue together, says FM Sitharaman

Mumbai, Oct 10 (ANI): Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman who today met account holders of PMC Bank in Mumbai said that the crisis is not directly related to Finance Ministry as RBI is its regulator. "I've asked the secretaries of the ministry to study in detail as to what is happening. Representatives of RBI will also be there to understand shortcomings, what happened, and also to therefore, if necessary, look at the ways in which the respective acts will have to be amended," said Finance Minister. Her comments come amid protests by bank customers over limiting withdrawal amount by RBI from PMC to 25,000 and Economic Offence Wing's cases against loan defaulters Housing Development and Infrastructure Limited (HDIL) Directors Rakesh and Sarang Wadhwan.
