9 accused in Khalistan Zindabad Force terror module sent to custody till Oct 11

Amritsar (Punjab), Oct 09 (ANI): A local court in Amritsar on Wednesday sent nine accused, arrested in the Khalistan Zindabad Force module, till October 11. Punjab police had busted the module on Sep 22 with the arrest of four of its members and recovered huge cache of arms. The other accused were arrested later on. The state government has decided to handover further investigation in the case to the National Investigation Agency (NIA) in a bid to ensure that the entire conspiracy is unraveled. Police had suspected that the weapons were delivered across the Indo-Pak border from Pakistan using drones launched by the ISI and state-sponsored 'Jihadi' and pro-Khalistani terrorist outfits working under its command.

Ancient 'Pacche Linga' put out for darshan in Bandagadde Math in Karnataka

Shivamogga (Karnataka), Oct 09 (ANI): The ancient Pacche Linga (Shiv Linga) has been put out for devotees to pay obeisance in Bandagadde Math in Kaladi village near Sagara city of Shivamogga. Bandagadde Math's ancestors got rare emerald Linga 'Pacche Linga' from queen Chennamma. Bandagadde Math's history dates back to at least 500 years.

Artificial ponds, spots were created for immersion idols by Delhi Government. Every year, idol immersion in Yamuna increases pollution in river manifold.

BJP's Sudhanshu Trivedi elected unopposed to Rajya Sabha in by-poll from UP

Lucknow (UP), Oct 09 (ANI): BJP national spokesperson Sudhanshu Trivedi has been elected unopposed to Rajya Sabha in a by-election from Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday. While speaking to ANI, Trivedi said, "Party gives responsibility to the workers time to time. I also did my responsibility according to the party." The seat had fallen vacant after the demise of former union minister Arun Jaitley. Trivedi had filed his nomination on Friday in the presence of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Deputy Chief Minister Dinesh Sharma and other senior leaders of the party. The BJP leader, a PhD in Mechanical Engineering, has been working for the party for a long time. He was a part of the four-member committee which was responsible for the party's campaign during 2014 Lok Sabha polls in Uttar Pradesh.

Haryana polls: Amit Shah praises Indian Army while addressing public rally Kaithal

Kaithal (Haryana), Oct 9 (ANI): BJP President Amit Shah in Kaithal, Haryana proudly said that our jawans killed Pakistani terrorists and took revenge for those jawans who had sacrificed their lives. PMC bank account holders protest outside Mumbai's Esplanade Court

Mumbai, Oct 9 (ANI): Scores of Punjab and Maharashtra Corporative bank account holders on Wednesday staged a protest here. The protestors demanded imprisonment for Housing Development Infrastructure Limited (HDIL) Directors, Sarang Wadhawan and Rakesh Wadhwan, in the hearing scheduled for today in the court. "We paid our taxes we still paying our taxes why government is doing with us. We request to the government please resolve this issue as soon as possible," a protestors told ANI. "I invested my whole life money in this bank. I invested in the bank for the trust of RBI," another protester told ANI.

Aadhaar seeding date under PM-Kisan scheme relaxed till Nov 30: Prakash Javadekar

New Delhi, Oct 9 (ANI): Union Minister Prakash Javadekar while briefing the press in New Delhi informed that cabinet has decided to relax the mandatory requirement of Aadhaar seeding under PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi till 30 November. Prakash Javadekar said, "Cabinet has decided to relax till 30th November 2019, the mandatory requirement of Aadhaar seeding for release of benefits under Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi after 1st August, 2019," he added.

Sec 144 imposed in Rajasthan's Tonk after clashes during Dussehra procession

Tonk (Rajasthan), Oct 09 (ANI): Section 144 has been imposed in Malpura area of Tonk, Rajasthan after clashes between two communities during Dussehra procession. Ravi Shankar Prasad takes stock of health services by visiting hospital in Patna

Patna (Bihar), Oct 09 (ANI): Union Law and Justice Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad on October 9 visited a government hospital in Patna to take stock of the health services after flood water receded in the city. He inspected the facilities provided by the hospital authorities and also talked to the patients. While speaking to the mediapersons he said, "I'm here to take stock of health services after flood water receded. There were 119 cases of dengue in hospital, of which 16 are still there. Centre and state are working together to control outbreak of diseases."As the floodwater drained out, the concern of spreading of dengue and other diseases is haunting the state. Authorities are taking measures like spraying of bleaching powder and anti- larval materials to stop the viral diseases. Over 73 people lost their lives after heavy rain in Bihar.

Mangaluru Dasara concludes on a colourful note

Mangaluru (Karnataka), Oct 09 (ANI): Mangaluru Dasara ended on a colourful note on the occasion of Vijaya Dashmi. A lively procession of Goddess Sharada Devi was taken out on the occasion. Mesmerizing tableaux followed Devi's chariot. The procession started from Kudroli Gokarnanatheshwara Temple. Thousands of devotees gathered to participate in the festival with great fervour. The streets of Mangaluru were illuminated for the celebrations. While speaking to ANI, one of the organizers said, "14 Goddesses along with 60+ tableaux moved in the procession and the entire 7 km route was illuminated with the lighting.
