Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh), Sep 12 (ANI): Madhya Pradesh Transport Minister Govind Singh Rajput reacted on the amendments in Motor Vehicles (Amendment) Act 2019. He called it a 'Tughlaqi' order. He said, "Union government's Motor Vehicle Act is a 'Tughlaqi' order. Most of the fines are more than what common man can afford. I will discuss the matter with the Chief Minister and try to lessen the burden wherever required".
New Delhi, Sep 12 (ANI): Ministery of External Affairs clarified on Thursday that there is no shortage of medicines in the Jammu and Kashmir which is going through restrictions since the abrogation of Article 370. While addressing a press conference in New Delhi on September 12, Spokesperson of MEA, Raveesh Kumar, said, "All essential supplies including 24*7 electricity, water, healthcare and education and sanitation are being ensured. Hospitals and medical are functioning normally, there is no shortage of medicines. 95% of healthcare professionals are on duty in Jammu and Kashmir." The response came against some reports which claimed that there is shortage of medicines in JandK.

During Ganesh Chaturthi, devotees worship Bappa's idols. One of the most revered gods, Lord Ganesha is considered by many as a symbol of good fortune, wisdom and luck. The festival is one of the main festivals of Maharashtra. Ganesh Chaturthi marks the birth of Lord Ganesha.
New Delhi, Sep 12 (ANI): Talking about Pakistan's fake narratives on Kashmir issue, Raveesh Kumar, MEA Spokesperson said it was "quite audacious" on part of Pakistan to pretend to speak on behalf of global community on human rights. The world is aware of Pakistan's role in aiding terrorist infrastructure in their country. While speaking at the press conference, he said, "Quite audacious on part of Pakistan, which is epicenter of terrorism to pretend to speak on behalf of global community on human rights. This is very rich. They need to understand repeating a lie doesn't turn it into gospel truth, which came out during session." He added, "At United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC), our delegation put forth our stand. We responded to Pakistan's lies and distorted statement. Global community is aware of Pakistan's role in aiding terrorist infrastructure in their country."
Kolkata, Sep 12 (ANI): West Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress Chief Mamata Banerjee lead the protest march against National Register of Citizens (NRC) in Kolkata. People in large numbers took part in street protest. The final list of National Register of Citizens for Assam was released on August 31, 2019. Over 19 lakh citizens were not included in the list.
New Delhi, Sep 12 (ANI): Raveesh Kumar, MEA Spokesperson informed that Indi urged Pakistan to show some flexibility regarding Kartarpur Sahib Gurudwara. While speaking at the press conference, Raveesh Kumar said, "Pakistan did not agree to initial number which we had proposed, that this is the number that should be allowed to visit, citing constraints on the infrastructure side. We have urged Pakistan to show some flexibility." Pakistan on September 12 decided that the pilgrims will be charged USD 20 as service fees to visit Kartarpur Sahib Gurudwara. During the meeting that took place earlier this month, both the sides agreed on visa-free travel by Indian pilgrims to Kartarpur Sahib Gurudwara.
Patna (Bihar), Sep 12 (ANI): Scuffle broke out between locals and police in Patna. While speaking to ANI, police official said, "Two people had altercation with police when asked for fine. As per initial questioning, it has been found that they violated traffic rules. They didn't stop when asked to stop by police."
New Delhi, Sep 12 (ANI): While reacting to the statement of Pakistan which said there will be no second consular access to Kulbhushan Jadhav, Ministery of External Affairs Spokesperson Raveesh Kumar said "We will keep trying that judgment of ICJ is fully implemented. We would like to remain in touch with the Pakistani side through diplomatic channels." Earlier, Ministry of Pakistan Foreign Affairs Spokesperson Mohammad Faisal, in a statement, said that India would not get second consular access to Kulbhushan Jadhav.

Rameswaram (Tamil Nadu), Sep 12 (ANI): Fishermen venture into sea everyday in search of livelihood. They also bring something else with them. Conch shells left behind by mollusks are often caught in the fishing nets. Fishermen of Rameswaram are now exploring an additional income opportunities with these conchs. These conchs are turned into pieces of art by painting and sculpting. These attractive objects are bought by tourists as souvenirs. Fishermen make key-chains and paperweights with it. It becomes a source of additional income for these fishermen-cum-artists. Conch shells are also used in India as a musical instrument, especially during religious festivals and rituals. They are also used as decorative items in general.
Kathua (JandK), Sep 12 (ANI): Jammu and Kashmir Police recovered a truck carrying arms and ammunition in Kathua district on Sep 12. A case has been registered under relevant sections of the IPC. Further investigation is underway.
New Delhi, Sep 12 (ANI): Mahmood Madani, general secretary of Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind, on Sep 12 said that he has no problem if NRC is done across India as it will help in knowing about the "intruders" at a time when "genuine citizens" are also looked down upon as intruders. "The NRC should be conducted in the whole country as it will help in knowing how many intruders are here. Even those who are genuine are being blamed. Hence it should be done. I have no problem with that," he told the media in Delhi.

"We have passed a resolution today that Kashmir is an integral part of India. There will be no compromise with security and integrity of our country. India is our country and we stand by it. Pakistan is trying to project on the international forum that India Muslims are against India. We condemn this act of Pakistan."

New Delhi, Sep 12 (ANI): Pakistani delegation was absent at the first military co-operation of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO). The event organised by the Defence Ministry was held in the national capital on September 12. According to Defence officials Pakistan was invited to the event as it is a member of the SCO. Tension between India and Pakistan has increased since the abrogation of Article 370 by the Indian government.
